Tavern is our favorite restaurant in Riverside. The food is great, and the staff are friendly and well-informed. The fried oysters are first-rate, and the house salad with shaved fennel is refreshing and delicious.Outdoor seating, along with an outdoor bar, distinguish the dining options for this great little place. It’s perfect for any meal, from a regular, week-night out to a celebration for any occasion. We are always glad to share it with friends, because we know that there will be no disappointments or unhappy surprises.
Love this place. The food is top notch. Our table could not decide so sampled several plates including octopus, grilled cheese, fries, mushroom ragout, mashed potatoes and steak tartare. All of it was delicious with the mushroom ragout being the tastiest dish. Service was efficient. We sat outside. My only complaint is that it was very dark and we needed to use our phones to see the menu. This could easily be fixed with string lights or table lights.
