BB’s is always wonderful. I normally order the truffle pizza for lunch or the filet wrap. For dinner I tried the beer battered fish and chips and a chocolate torte. Their desserts are all made at the sister restaurant Biscottis and are well known in Jacksonville for being one of the best. As always it was fantastic.
Sophisticated and upscale trendy restaurant, food was delicious. We started with a Malbec recommended by the waiter, tasty and affordable. Next, an appetizer of cheeses, sweet walnuts, dried apricots, and honeycomb – very delectable!!! I ordered the white truffle pizza. The flavors melded perfectly of fresh mozzarella, smoked ham, and truffle, but needed more truffle. Other than that, everything was perfect. A must try restaurant!!
My daughter love the bread pudding. I typically get the coconut cake but it has changed a bit or my taste buds. Haven’t had dinner will probably try it out oneday.We always get the dessert.
This stylish casual corner bistro doesn’t prepare you for what comes on your plate. After a few visits, everything has been remarkable. The quality of food and the transparent service may stem from the owner’s ‘hands on’ management style. Nobody escapes unimpressed. I haven’t visited bb’s for lunch where most of the dicey reviews seem to spawn, but dinner is a safe ‘no brainier’ -if you can get in….make a reservation.
Best meal I’ve had out in months…. Took a friend to bb’s tonight and it was truly amazing. It was SO nice to take a friend from out of town to a local restaurant and have an excellent experience. I cannot praise Chef Chris enough. Everything we ordered was delicious! The portion sizes were perfect and the food came out quickly. Our waiter Robert was attentive and friendly but didn’t hover and allowed us to have a nice conversation. She was so impressed and cannot wait to bring her husband the next time they visit. I prefer to go a little early to avoid the crowd but bb’s is a wonderful choice any time of day!
Bb’s is amazing. As usual, I was thrilled with the menu choices, and was actually able to get a parking space this time. Only because it’s football season, I am sure. Having said that, another selling point is that it’s wonderful to dine with no televisions in view! Every place does not need to feature sports!
I have to agree with some of the previous posts. Bb’s is not what it used to be. We went during Eat Up Downtown and had the Prix Fixe meal that included field greens, pasta, and dessert. The food, while not horrible, was not the caliber that I remembered or was expecting.
