Great breakfast place. Usually only locals eating here so there are always familiar faces. Prices are really good too. I’m a lawyer so I make a lot of miry and I don’t mind spending money on quality but here they don’t even expect you to they just make you a killer breakfast at a great price. I’ve been eating here for years.

DA BOMB BREAKFAST!. Love love love it here! One of the best breakfast joints you can go to in Jax Beach. This place has been here since I was a kid, and in my opinion, is somewhat of a Jax Beach landmark because its so old. The Food is always great when speaking on behalf of the breakfast menu. Biscuits and gravy are to die for, along with the corn beef hash. YUM! Oh! And how could I forget their creamy grits (which I always add cheese)! Only down side to this place is that their is no hostess and no seating area. The lines can back up outside the door with a long line down the sidewalk. Locals here know that as soon as a customer gets up to leave, the next person in line immediately takes that table. People for the most part do not line jump or cause a scene over the wait. Its just the way it is. Fortunately, the line can move pretty fast so its not so bad. So, for all the townies reading this, have some patience… =]
Best breakfast place hands down. If you’re a local you know the times to go or else you’ll have to wait forever. Best deal to get is the 6.99 breakfast special. So much food. Great atmosphere always tip good.
Great restaurant. Worth the wait!. My friend and I went on Saturday about 10am, one of their busiest times. The line was out the door but we’d read the reviews and wanted to try it. Although there were at least 20 people in front of us, the line moved fast. We sat down and waited a while for the waitress, but once we got her attention she was great and attentive. We ordered the standard 2 eggs, meat, grits, potatoes and pancakes special (reasonably priced). The food took about 20 minutes to ge there, but we sat around and just people watched until our food arrived. The bacon strips were cold (it’s hard to find a restaurant who serves hot bacon strips without being fried to a crisp) but the rest of the food was hot. The waitress came and checked on us twice and filled my friend’s coffee cup on a couple of occasions. The bill came and it was about $22 plus tip. The service was great and we left a $5 tip. We plan on eating there again anytime we go back to Jacksonville Beach.
Awesome atmosphere… Kitschy beach decor, bustling kitchen, crowded with happy beach dwellers. Food is homey and delicious. Crowded, but worth the experience!
AMAZING. This is just a plain ole breakfast joint but the food is incredible. I have never had such amazing biscuits and gravy in my life. The servers are always very attentive and quick as can be. The waits usually aren’t long and you just seat yourself. We are frequenters of this cafe and we will continue to return.
