A great deli!. Enjoyed a great brunch at Delicomb yesterday. Busy place but food and service were quick and friendly. Tasty breakfast sammiches and lox and cream cheese bagels. Highly recommended!
They say they are Gluten-Free friendly…but not if you want a sandwich or wrap…. I was invited to Delicomb by a friend for coffee one day. While there that morning, I inquired about getting a Gluten-Free sandwich at lunch time. I was told there were GF options for wraps so I took my family there after church. When we approached the counter and asked for wraps made gluten-free, we were told that they would make them on a bed of spinach but that they didn’t really have GF wraps. Really?!? Then why does your staff not make that much more clear? Spinach salads are not a great option for hungry kids. We made due by ordering Acai bowls for the kids (not the most protein-rich lunch) and salads for the parents. The service was extremely slow and the Kale Salad was not Kale…it was mixed greens. The Greek Salad was good…not great. We won’t be back when we are hungry for sandwiches and not at all until they get their act together and others report many more positive experiences.
Secret sara. My husband took me to Delicomb this morning after a check up at Mayo Clinic. We had heard good things about it. Wrong! The person who was to take our order was on the phone (this was about 11:00AM, not any rush hour) When she did come and take our order I asked for eggs and bacon, my husband ordered an egg on biscuit. He wanted water, I ordered regular coffee. There were no instructions about-go down there to the end of the counter, find a seat, etc. So, we sat down, my eggs and bacon came, but no coffee. I got up to ask about the coffee. Husband still didn’t have any food. After 5 min. he went to the counter to ask were his order was, and the waiter-person was rude, and uncooperative. He never got anything to eat! I will say the eggs and bacon were good, but they will not get any return business from us, due to their poor service and attitude. Two thumbs down for this place.
I ordered the large acai bowl for 10 dollars. It arrived in a bowl I considered quite small. Slightly shocking.
Not impressed. Tried it first thing Saturday morning (7am) at the new location. I guess they needed some extra time to get set up since they seemed unorganized. Not very friendly. The coffee & biscuit egg & cheese were all just ok. It is nice & comfortable in there. But we won’t be back. There are other breakfast places at the beach that are a better value & friendlier service. I like Maple street biscuit company better.
I didn’t get a really likes it option, but I REALLY like it. I’m vegan and when it comes to eating out resturants are limited. I happen to stumble across this little gem while biking. My favorite Sammy is the Spinach Artichoke Panini with Tempeh. Delish! I asked for no mayo only to find out the use Vegenaise 🙂 My favorite quaint little joint at the beach now.
Best place to eat on the beach! Awesome fresh food!
