Great place for southern BBQ and blues. Prices are in line with the quality and quantity of the menu items. The bar is large and has ample inventory. While I’ve never met the owner personally, I know several folks who have nothing but positive things to say about him. This is one of several locations. Being a home-smoker of any meats I can get my hands on, I enjoy comparing the flavors from Mojo’s to my personal creations.
Great service and food. Hubby finally found a place that makes good fried chicken and mashed potatoes/gravy. I enjoyed the turkey breast with black eyed peas and sweet potato mash. We’ll be back soon!
I know I am from Memphis but???. Well at least the fried pickles were good. Pulled pork was bland. Sauce options were pretty tasteless. Fries had more salt than potato. Beans were like mush. I really wanted banana pudding but did not want to chance it. I can see why the place was almost empty.
Mojo seems to have gone downhill a bit. The BBQ is not as flavorful as it once was, and the ribs are like rocks, not very tender at all. No real reason to come here anymore. The only real positive are there sides, all of which are very tasty. Everything else is just mediocre.
We walked in and were immediately seated then it went downhill. The place was not that busy, half of the tables were empty but none of the staff could acknowledge our existence so after being ignored for 20 minutes we walked out.
Yum!. Everything I’ve had here is delicious. My favs are actually their Salmon, the mac n cheese is amazing, the green beans and collards are also delish! The staff is friendly but a little slow, each time I’ve gone it seems to take a while to be greeted, sat, order taken, drinks filled, check, etc. I will still keep going back for the Salmon and veggies though.
