Worst ever, I’d be SCARED to eat here-. I went here once and was told (by a manager, no less!) there was nothing they could make me that was safe from seafood/shellfish contamination, due to my seafood & shellfish allergies– and then made me pay for the terrible OLD sweet teas we had… Don’t waste your time or money, this place is a joke! For the record, there are laws about food safety to protect people with allergies- their management must be unaware.
One thing for next time. I was fortunate enough to accompany my girlfriend to Table 1 a few weeks ago and decided on the mushroom and goat cheese flatbread. The toppings reminded me of a pizza I used to get and was extremely excited when I saw the arugula tossed in truffle oil. Food came out hot but did seem to take a while which we expected since we got flatbreads. My only complaint with it was that the dough did not cook all the way through. I prefer my flatbreads to have char spots on the bottom and to be crispy but that might just be my preference. The flavors of the mushroom with the fresh arugula was exactly what I was expecting and fantastic. I do feel that it was missing a little something to put it over the top but was still very satisfied. Our server was fantastic and very attentive. She chatted with us and made us feel like regular customers even though it was our first time there. One thing that seemed odd to my girlfriend and I was that the manager stopped at every table to check on them but skipped our table every time he walked by. Luckily, our waitress made up for this with her attentiveness. We will definitely be returning. The happy hour was very good and next time I will be sure to request the flatbread to be cooked until the bottom gets charred to make sure it is crispy and dough is cooked through.
What a great little place. We have been to Table 1 a couple of times and I must say that they are doing everything right. From having a reservation system like open table to ensure you get a table at the time you want, to getting you in and out on time with a great food and beverage selection to boot. I like the fact that they always have live music in the corner as well. It seems to be quite the gathering spot for locals in PV and I really enjoy it as well especially before a show at the PV Concert hall down the road. Well done Table 1 and please keep it up, because I love having places that I can come to, and count on to have a great experience!
Went for lunch and had an enjoyable experience. Food was a little pricey for lunch. Staff was very pleasant. Did not like the bourbon pecan pie, it was soggy.
Say It Ain’t So!!!. We loved Urban Flats. We really loved it even more when it became Table 1. They improved on an already great thing with delicious food, presentation, service – everything went up a notch when Urban Flats became Table 1. We go there for dinner often, but hadn’t been there for a couple of months. Very often we take new people moving into the area to introduce them to a great local gem. Tonight was such a let down. We are so disappointed. We raved about the place as usual and were embarrassed tonight. Our reservations were for 5:30PM so there was no excuse that they were overwhelmed with a crowd. First we learned that the house Pinot Grigio that has always been very good was no longer on the list for happy hour 1/2 price drinks. Okay. I got the Chardonnay that they offered instead. We ordered our food and they brought our salads, which were different, but still good. Then they brought our entrees less than five minutes later! We were so surprised and didn’t know what to do at first. We said wait a minute, we just got our salads. They didn’t even acknowledge our displeasure, but proceeded to move things around to get the plates with our entrees on the table. So here we sit with salads that we wanted to enjoy – while we watch our meals get cold in front of us. Sheesh. So far it’s been a disappointment, but the entrees were, again, something out of the ordinary of this usually awesome place to dine. The presentation of their entrees used to be served on long narrow dishes which made it different from the norm and interesting. Tonight, they were served on what I would call white diner plates – no different from your local diner. I was the only one who ordered a flatbread – their signature dish. It came on an oval diner plate which made it turn soggy as it sat there while I finished my salad. The flatbread itself wasn’t made to the normal high standards of Table 1. Could have gotten something just as good at a pizza place – maybe better. I don’t know what is going on there. Our waitress, however sweet, acted dumb about our questions about what is going on? I am so disappointed. I loved Table 1 and it was my favorite local restaurant. I’m so disappointed.
Will not Return. My husband and I wanted to try the new Table 1 restaurant in Ponte Vedra. The place is the same as when it was Urban Flats. We were greeted with the hostess who stayed on the phone far to long, so i went to the bar to wait. The Decor is nice along with the Bar, but it looked not to have enough chairs for the bar area. The wine list is just okay. There are far better wines available and I find they really missed their mark. Table 1 has a happy hour 2-1 but the cost of the wines are expensive along with the appetizers. The sign when a restaurant in the middle of the week is not doing well, is when there are more staff on hand, than patrons and i can understand why. The food is very over priced from the appetizers to the dinner items. My husband ordered a cup of soup, Tortilla chicken soup that looked like chili soup. It was very thick mess of chunky soup, dark in color and looked like it sat all day long. When our dinner came the presentation was good, but the food was horrible. The Caesar salad was hard green leaves and unable chew. The curtons were rubbery and just pure nasty. The Mahi tacos, were lack luster coated with some seasoning so heavy in coating, thats all you could taste. The fish was cut in rectangles and looked like it had been frozen. Most of the staff stayed in the back looking at the front door. There might have been a manager on duty, but never saw one. If this restaurant is to survive in this town, the chief needs to taste his food and inspect what he is sending out. Bring in small plates of food for happy hour and glasses of wine with a more reasonable price. We can eat at Pussers or Muduras for much better food for far less. This restaurant needs to have a wake up call for sure. What a shame that food had to be so bad and tasteless
Hidden GEM. Much better than it was as Urban FLats. Every dish we have gotten is very good and plenty of food. The Fish Tacos have generous portion of Mahi and the Flats seems bigger than before. Always has good LIVE music as well so rounds out the evening.
