One of my favorite restaurants for a wonderful low calorie dinner. A very sophisticated atmosphere with piano music at the bar. There is also lovely outdoor seating on the IntraCostal for those who love to be on the water. There never has been a meal I have not enjoyed .Our favorite dishes include the following; Shrimp Scampi Skillet, Organic Baby Spinach with caramelized pear, Blacken Mahi, Caramelized Grilled Sea Scallops, Truffle Salad, Warm Yellow Beet Salad, Shrimp Capatelli, and all of their flat breads are also good. I recommend this restaurant, but it will be crowded during the late January/February time frame since most of the patrons are Northeasterners escaping from the cold.
Excellent!
Attended a birthday dinner at Seasons 52 last night. We had a table of 8. This was probably my 5th time eating at one of these places, 3rd time at the PBG location. For a chain, it has a nice ambienceeven if it takes itself a little too seriously. Menu is varied enough to please most. The food is decent but not great. Seems to need a little seasoning, salt and pepper were nowhere to be found at our table. The best thing about the experience last night was the dessert (blueberry cheesecake) and the super deal on the wine flights. For $15, you get 3 small glasses of wine for sampling, a larger full glass of your favorite of the trio and a flatbread. Hard to find deals like that. We sampled a variety of flatbreads including a fig and goat cheese one, a pesto chicken one and a steak and mushroom one. The steak and mushroom flatbread was a little disappointing but the other 2 were tasty. My entree was a shrimp and pasta dish which tasted fresh but lacked in seasoning. Waitstaff was friendly but failed to split the bill even though they said they would. All in all a decent place but not one of my top choices. It is good for what it is.
Wonderful, Quality, Restaurant. Was there in a party of eight. We were seated promptly at our reservation time. Everything is very high quality from the drinks to the desserts. The nice thing is the menu changes with the seasons so you never get tired of the same choices. Staff is very professional. prices are very reasonable for this quality of food. A very enjoyable dining experience.
Not impressed with service. We were really looking forward to a great meal. We had been to the Seasons 52 in Orlando, so we knew that they had great food. The decor is great, the location great, right on the water. We made reservation for a table on the water. Although there was a table on the water it was not cleaned. We asked if we could have the table on the water and were told yes when it was cleaned off. It took a while. Once seated we tried to read the menu but no candle or light and no waiter. So we sat and sat. After flagging down someone to find a candle we we started planning our appetizers. The waiter finally stopped by our table so we ordered drinks and Tuna tartar yummy and lobster stuffed mushrooms. James came back some time later to tell us no tuna tartar but they did have tuna sushi, which we decided on instead. No drinks for a while, then the mushrooms came out, but still no drinks. Also no plates. And we sat, waiting for someone to ask for plates. Still no drinks or plates. James brings drinks but wrong beer and no plates. Don;t worry James says, usually the mushroom are so hot they need a minute to cool down. Thanks James, then 5 minutes will really work! The sushi comes out and still no plates. We yell to a random bus person to bring us some plates and they do. The shrimp on the mushrooms was tough but they sushi was delicious. Mind you we still have not gotten James’s undivided attention to order dinner yet, but we notice that the larger group table behind us is where James has been spending his time. We coax James over to place order. We ask for some rolls or bread to hold us over until dinner. He asks if he can get us another beer. What we told him was yes, the right beer. He said he was sorry and he would take it off the bill. Nice but that’s not what we were looking for tonight, just be attentive. He’s at the large table again laughing and joking. Dinner comes. It look great. The scallops were terrific, the shrimp were pretty and tasted good but again they were over cooked and tough. We did eat everything and wanted to lick the pate but the bread never ended up coming out to us.We are dessert people. I love the way they serve their desserts in little shot glasses. James was at the large table behind us explaining the display, so I told my husband to listen to the items to decide before he comes to our table. Somehow he slipped by without asking us about dessert, and we wait for him to return. After 10 minutes of sweet talk and romance, we decide not to wait for dessert in a glass and ask another waiter for our check. It was obvious that James was protecting his investment with the large table’s tip. It’s only food, you didn’t ruin our night, but I won’t be back! Went to the Riverhouse for a decadent chocolate brownie mouse cake and proper treatment.
Coming from North Carolina, we gotta say that they have most scrumptious, unique Pecan Pie. Awesome atmosphere! We sat down outside and enjoyed the view. We are glad we came to this place.
Great setting. Even though the food is sometimes iffy, this place is a great place for a romantic dinner…beautiful setting. Like the flat breads. some menu decriptions sound better than the actual result.
