FYI, changes at the Turtle. Joe and some other key bar staff are out. New team in. Servers and kitchen not too much changed. Hope they make the transition and keep up the local laid back vibe. Miss you Joe, Godspeed to you and family.
They keep removing my review off Facebook, the below review was posted the night of. I can say after spending an entire night with a destroyed stomach that has now also trickled into today, that their unsanitary food practices are surely a result of today’s sickness. Go to the thirsty turtle if you want hot wings with a side of diarrhea. Well the entire meal was ok, unfortunately prior to leaving we went to the restroom. One of the members of the kitchen staff felt it was appropriate to use the restroom as well (using the stall not the urinal.. Interpret that as you’d like) and then subsequently not wash his hands. Rather than addressing the issue, the manager assured me that he used the sink back in the kitchen. Take accountability for your staff and own up to it when something happens rather than deflecting the issue and trying to lie to the customer. What a disappointment, EAT AT YOUR OWN RISK!!!!

We told the manager Danny and he wouldn’t refund our bill. Several of us got food poisoning from it and the manager Danny refused to do anything about it. He said he would give us another of the same chicken dish that was raw, but wouldn’t make any other effort to fix it.
