Nice atmosphere, great wine and super good macaroons. The French baguette is authentic!!! Stop by and order a delicious sandwich (maybe two, one for lunch the next day) 🙂
Great macarons with gluten free options!!!! One of the better French (sweets) bakeries in the pinecrest/Kendall area!!! The croissants are equally tasty 🙂
YUM. This place has the best macaroons. I am obsessed with macaroons and have been searching for a place that makes good ones here in Miami. Once I found Atelier Monnier, I never tried another place again. It’s small and not the most comfortable to dine there, so I recommend picking up a little bite and eating it elsewhere if you’re into dinning comfortably; however, if you don’t mind sitting on a picnic table and serving yourself water in very small cups, the place is very cute inside.
I am a french food and bakery/pastry lover…when i heard of l’atelier gourmet, i went immediatly to kendall to get…. MACARONS!!!!I must say that i am veeeery disappointed…the ones i have got were tasteless, dry, seemed old and soooo sugary!!the cassis and lemon tasted like nothing, the chocolate one, my fav’, didn’t seem to be made w/ real chocolate…only the pistacchio one was ok…i have paid 1.40 dollars for 1 macaron. So, i went last weekend to the farmer’s market at key biscayne, where they have a spot….and surprise!!!! the macarons were better…fresher…but still tasteless and more expensive than directly at the store….1.50 dollars!!???very disappointing experience…
Excellent french pastry boutique. I was happy to find this high quality authentic French pastry boutique in S. Miami. I love french food, and have been dismayed by several places in the past where not even the croissants were good. I have had croissants which had no butter flavor at all, and one french bakery’s croissants tasted like rancid buttter! The plain croissant at L’Atelier was fresh and made with butter. The chocolate croissant was very rich – more like an almond croissant with chocolate. The display case was a beautiful array of colorful macarons and small cakes. The Raspberry Mascarpone Mousse with Pistachio cake was a work of art to look at and divine to devour. This dessert was a perfect harmony of complementary flavors and textures – a fine piece of culinary art. They also have a case of their own home made gelato (or ice cream, not sure which) that they sell to other restaurants. L’Atelier is also planning to offer lunch as well in the near future. This is a great place to go for coffee and pastries, or for a take out treat when you don’t want to sit in a restaurant or walk a farmer’s market.
