  Walking distance from my house, I can always rely on Cuban Guys for a quick/cheap bite to eat when I’m feeling lazy to make something at home. Usually order a Pulled Pork or Vaca Frita Cuban Bowl. They’re filled with white rice, black beans, and sweet plantains. I love the way they cube the sweet plantains into tiny pieces so that when I shake up my bowl its in every bite! Haven’t tasted much else on the menu, but noticed that they have started a daily special where normal menu items are at an extreme discount changing in accordance to the days of the week. I’ll probably take advantage of this to try new things.IG: KFitzEats

  Every time I had come here to eat is a Frita. Delicious.Mariquitas with a side of garlic sauce are crisp, not greasy.We asked for a Frita with Cheese, no onions.Also for a regular one with onions. The Fritas are not seasoned to overpower the taste buds. Just a hint of seasoning. They come with the customary potatoes sticks. It gives them a crunchy complexion.A sample of Hot Cheese croquetas, fairly spicy. There are a couple of sizes to order. We took the three croquetas sampler.. They have Tostones sandwiches. I need to tried them next time I come to eat. Also their bowls look nice.Cuban Ice cream Sandwiches are different and delicious.They have top & bottom covered with a very sweet thin cake crust. They come in three flavors: Vainilla, Chocolate, Strawberry.To come to Miami and not have a Frita, is not being to Miami for me.

  Cuban Guys is the fast food version of cuban food and it’s done very damn well. The place itself looks like a knockoff 50’s diner with Cuban American flag colors running rampant, but so long as the food is good, nobody gives a damn. Pretty small little joint that offers up quick versions of some Cuban meals with sandwiches being the primary focus.I got the Original Cuban Sandwich. You know how it is. Roasted Pork with Ham between two buttered slices of cuban bread with pickles, cheese, and mustard. Slap that baby onto a sandwich press and we’re good to go. The sandwiches here are surprisingly really good despite how quick they whip it up for you. The bread was so damn good and the the meat was good enough. They put a nice little portion where you can stuff it down your gullet shamelessly.I really liked Cuban Guys because it’s quick, easy, cheap, and good. The food isn’t meant to be really be analyzed and questioned cause it’s a great quick lunch for those in the area. Parking can be a pain sometimes, but turnaround is quick so a spot should open up relatively quick. If you’re looking for a sit down place with the family, drive to La Carreta or some other place. This is for when you’re running from the cops, but still need that Cuban sandwich fix. cheatdayeveryday.com
