I was looking forward to coming here based on the reviews that I had read. Key Largo is on the ocean, lots of fishing boats, what could go wrong, right? I was sorely mistaken (as are all the reviewers that speak highly of the fish. I am thinking these folks have never been north of Florida City … Tuna was frozen, yuck. You know it is frozen when it is bright pink and the ice crystals are still in the meat. Also, the rice was underdone and cold … Yuck! Rice should be slightly warm and fully cooked. Rice portions on the nigiri was way too much. I suggest that they charge a little more and serve high quality fresh fish … Not frozen tuna that is barely acceptable for searing. On positive note, the staff was friendly and accommodating, thus I am giving this place a 2.0
Top Notch. I can’t rave enough about the food and service here! Everything is fresh and reasonably priced. The wait staff is fabulous! So attentive and helpful. We will be going back.
Excellent Japanese restaurant and an amazingly good value. Been here several times and have never come close to anything bad. Highly recommend this to anyone.
Fresh sashimi & sushi. Located blocks away from Key Largo Fisheries they have some of the freshest seafood (some species that are parisite safe, they allow to swim around in buckets until you order it). The atmosphere is 70ish Keys kitch (taxidermed sport fish, fish nets, etc on wood panneled walls). But look deeper and you find expertly prepared sushi. Try the albacore with ponzo sauce!!! Heavenly! This was our place to go after scuba diving. We never were disappointed.
