Cute place with lots of character. Nice folks. Food and beverage -overpriced, poorly prepared and just not a decent value. But, don’t be put off, just try it yourself.

Was recommended to us for fun decor with tree growing out of the bed of a truck and the grouper sandwich…we found the teenaged/young adult staff nice and ordered the $13.95 grouper sandwich (no sides included). It was served hot on a fresh roll with tiny bit of mayo, some lettuce and tomato in plastic basket. It was very bland. Absolutely nothing special about it. No special sauce, seasonings, nor even any salt or pepper that we could taste. Kitschy beach bum decor with open to air seating was good vibe for the budget flip flop young crowd that was seated at the other 3 tables but, way over priced IMHO. With so many choices of great food…we are still confused as to why it is popular. Walked across to Pepes and had good house made key lime pie $10 with tip.
A must visit!!. Get there early.. the food is so good.. this place is nothing fancy, but its worth the hike from duval.. every local i talked to recommended this place.. the soft shell crab sandwich is what i wanted, but they sold out by 1pm.. so i had some fish, simple.. well worth the money and def will return..also, write on the wall.. its fun
Not so much. The famous fried grouper wasn’t anything special. The homemade conch fritters were really good. The breading was favorable w/ little conch in middle. Order and sit down. Open outdoors lunch spot. Neat atmosphere- hole in the wall kind of place.
