As a native Floridian, some of the seafood meals we had in Key West on this trip where disappointing. That fact makes me wish we would have went to this place sooner. By far the best meal we had in our four day stay. The pork buns are unreal, and the house ramen is great for any first timers. The half portion was plenty for lunch, and allowed my wife and I to share. The place is small, so time your arrival to avoid peak times, but I wouldn’t be discouraged by the wait if there is one. I live 8hrs away and I am ready to drive back just to eat here!
MENU. This menu is lacking in every aspect
Wow. Finally, a place in KW to get away from the standard South Florida menu of lobster, hogfish, grouper and pinks. They’re lovely, but you can only eat so much of the same exact dish before you want something more. Kojin, tucked just off of a quiet part of Duval St, is a hidden gem… And compact enough that I hate sharing it with all of you for fear I won’t be able to walk in and eat in the future.*wink*They’re serving the BEST pork buns I’ve ever had. Hand’s down. Simple menu with only about 10 choices (noodle soups). The lamb shank noodle soup is excellent with the meat truly falling off the bone and soaking up that amazing, rich golden broth. Great sake selection. Moderately priced. Friendly staff who know their food and it shows. Only caveat: I’d love for them to work on a stronger AC system, as every time I’ve been there, it’s been a bit on the warm side. When eating noodle soup in KW, it’s imperative that you have a cooler climate… Sweating while I eat inside is no bueno.
Stumbled across this little place by chance. It is one of the best places to eat in Key West. Had the Red Curry Coconut Shrimp. Amazing. Dumplings and steamed buns were also great.
Pork belly steamed buns and Pho with beef were outstanding. Tempura rice balls were very tasty as well. Would recommend all three items
The curry was the perfect heat…not so much to leave fire in your mouth but just enough to get your heart rate up a little bit. Definitely going back to try some other noodle dishes
Visiting from oklahoma – we were really craving some pho & never thought we’d find it here. It was definitely a classier version, but hit the spot. Staff is super nice too. *try the fun in a can (I think??) saki!!
