This place is fancy! I love the flavors but its definitely pricey. I ordered the king salmon with quinoa and garbanzo. It’s the best perfectly cooked salmon i have ever eaten. It was pretty good. My husband ordered the chicken with orzo and he didnt like it since the sauce was curry. The key lime pie was great but watery.
We had to stumble over to the bar in Louie’s backyard. Amazing view of the ocean while you enjoy your food. I ordered the burger and it was great.
I had here was above average. Pricey but not bad. The steak was very tender, not the best taste I’ve ever had but good. The pork was very good, probably the best thing I’ve had there so far.
A group of eight of us visited the Keys and ate lunch at Louie’s. It was highly recommended by several people and we wanted a great meal for our only lunch in Key West. Louie’s is a beautiful restaurant in a great location near the Southernmost Point. Service and atmosphere were great. Food was not. Of eight different entrees, two were enjoyable. A salad and a fried fish sandwich. The rest of the meals were not just less than good, many were simply bad. The tuna burger was the worst sandwich I believe I have ever had. At least in recent memory. I am sure they have good food from recommendations and other reviews. We certainly did not have it and I have no plans of trying again.
Waste of time and money….. My wife and I are vacationing to the Keys and decided to have lunch at Louie’s Backyard. I don’t know where all the great reviews came from but I could make better fish tacos from a can of tuna fish then what was served at that restaurant! The most flavorless fish tacos I have ever tasted! Save your money,your time and eat elsewhere.
Someplace Special. Everytime we visit Key West, we have lunch at Louie’s Backyard. It is a classy place with delicious food, overlooking the ocean. Great food, gorgeous view! Not cheap, but always worth the money. We always feel that we have been somewhere special.
