Found this place by accident while cruising around KW. Pleasant surprise! Wife had lasagna and I had spaghetti and meatballs. Both were good. The Key Lime pie was the best I’ve ever had. Overall a 4.0 due to noise and confusion going on around us. Someone thought it would be ok to have their dog with them because it was open air. Hello, no pets in restaurants. That’s just gross and I’m pretty sure NOT allowed even in KW. Still had a good time people watching on the beach path and having some drinks. Would come back again.
When you serve fresh fish ,…. When you serve fresh fish, clean out mud line first. Also don’t water down your drinks. Oh, and the customer is never right. Just ask our server, Aaron.

We walked in starving and it was a super casual beach joint. That being said, the menu was simple and the restaurant cooked a few items and they did them WELL! My favorite kind of place! A well thought out simple menu with fresh and fantastic ingredients. Not the pompous touristy food that we had up to this point. This restaurant serves great food. Finally
The quiet beach location is the only positive quality of Salute. The inside bar area was hot and the service was very sub-par and slow. The food was waaaay too expensive for the quality. We were very disappointed and will never go back. For much better food at better and more reasonable prices go to Alonzo’s, mangos or rum barrel.
Seafood AND italian on the beach. The view alone is worth a good rating but the food and service was good as well. Blackened mahi sandwich (no grouper to be found) was quite good, the roll was really fresh and the server was very pleasant. ANother place I wanted a repeat visit too but never made it back. Walking distance from the Casa Marina in fact just a stones throw away. Ignore the homeless people sleeping on the beach, every beach area that’s not private in Key West has people sleeping on it . Ignore it, you’re in paradise, go have lunch and a drink by the ocean!
