We were eating at a restaurant nearby in Downtown Kissimmee when someone mentioned that Breck’s cookies was just around the corner. I had heard about it and since I’m always interested in discovering new places (especially ones with treats) I decided to go for a walk and check it out.The cookies are big think homemade cookies in a variety of flavours from peanut butter and chocolate, smores, caramel crunch and so on. If you like thick, gooey and decadent cookies you are going to love this bakery. However, when we arrived she was a bit light on cookies avalable because people buy a lot of cookies when they come in here! So word to the wise go in early in the day so you have a pick of her entire offering! dreamtravelmagazine.com
Loved it before and Love it now. :). I have a shop close to Breck’s in historic downtown Kissimmee. I constantly see Breck’s cookie boxes carried by satisfied customers, many of whom bring them into our store to browse. I knew the previous owners and I know the current owners. Both bring their own unique offerings to the establishment. One thing I can say for sure – Breck’s has always offered the best cookies I’ve had. And NOW, they offer cakes and cupcakes too. And I can assure you, I’m not a family member. Just a happy customer and neighbor. Also, I know Jude – mentioned by previous poster – and she is a good customer of mine and I can assure you that she is not a family member of the Breck’s owners either, current or previous. 🙂
People never cease to amaze me…. I have known Cassie and her husband for the last three years and have enjoyed not only their cookies but their kindness and professionalism. It is beyond my comprehension that anyone could ever have anything but an absolutely incredible experience with them and their business. That being said, I read the rantings of a customer who recently had a bad experience at Breck’s Gourmet Cookies. My philosophy has always been, and always will be, that when people are angry, it usually has something to do with something going on within themselves. I think that everybody would be in full agreement to believe that any child that receives a sugary treat would not care what particular shade of icing would be on that sugary treat. They would be like any normal child, scarfing it down and enjoying every morsel. In conclusion, all I would like to say is that if people would stop thinking with their heads and breath with their hearts, then the world would be a more beautiful place to live.
LIVID. 11/6/10-STOP!!!The service and professionalism was horrible. The new owners are very rude. I ordered 2 cookie cakes and paid 52.00 I asked for blue writing for a 14 year old birthday (boy). They failed to tell me the blue they had was BABY BLUE. I wasnt looking for baby blue. It would have been nice to know that from the beginning so I could have decided if I wanted it or not. Instead I went to pick it up 1 hour prior to the party and was taken back. I didnt want that color. I was very quiet about it and it was very obvious I didnt like it. The owners wife asked if I was unhappy and if I still wanted it. I said I didn like it but I already paid for it and my son was expecting it. I took the cookies and left. Anyone that knows me KNOWS that I held back because if it wasnt the party day I would have thrown it on her floor. Her husband calls me 20 min later, youd think it was to apologize for the miscommunication; instead it was to insult me for making his wife feel bad. WHAT????? What about me? I paid for 2 cookies I hated for 52.00!!!!! So then I gave him a few choice words to ponder on. That was uncalled for. Im unhappy with their service and he calls me to yell @ me because his wife got her feeling hurt because I didnt like it? The nerve of that man. Hes lucky I didnt tell my husband he did that, he would have had to deal with a man who isnt as polite as me-on top of that the cookie was awful. The original owner was the best. costumers please go to Publix-they have a cookie @ 10.00 and tastes great..dont let them rob you like theyve done me. I AM REPORTING THAT KIND OF HARRASSMENT TO THE BBB OF OSCEOLA COUNTY.
Best in the world!!!. I have had cookies from most of the major cookie companys on the internet shipped to company meetings and parties and such, brecks is the absolute best! Your life is NOT complete until youve had one warm from the oven!!
Poor Business Ethics. My wife & I were visiting family in Kissimmee & stopped in to try their cookies. Very good indeed. My wife decided to send some out for Christmas presents. Wow, what a mistake. Brecks was to email us the tracking numbers. After 3 or 4 emails and 3 or 4 phone calls (none of them initiated by Brecks), they realized they made a mistake & said they would overnight the order. They were to email the overnight tracking numbers. Of course, they never did. I had to call them again & threaten them with filing a complaint to the FBIs Internet Fraud division. We will NEVER do business with them again.
