We go to Orlando once a week to eat Vietnamese food. We decided to try this restaurant because it was local and we like to support our local establishments. Today we went for the second time. It wasn’t great the first time but, this time it was horrible. We had Pho. The plate of bean sprouts, mint, and basil had to have been from at least yesterday. The first time we went the same plate was equally old and spoiled. The mint and basil were warm and limp, the sprouts were brown and spoiled. We SO badly need a good restaurant in Lake County that serves Vietnamese food…the Bamboo Bistro is not it! Very disappointing food. I’ll drive to Orlando to Pho Vinhs!
Great! I went there with my family over Christmas and ordered the chicken egg foo young and a few sushi rolls. Me being a sushi fanatic, I know it competes with some of the best sushi bars I’ve been to. Best Chinese/Sushi in The Villages!
The Pho was amazing. Firs…. The Pho was amazing.First time trying Bamboo Bistro, and was not disappointed. Tried several items from their mini Dim Sum menu. All the items were tasty. The wait staff was very nice, answered all our questions and even recommended some items on the Dim Sum menu to try.Physically the Bistro was clean with nice decor.I had the Combo Pho as my entree and it was delish. Will def be a repeat customer.
Soooooo bad. Ok, where do I start, First we sat for probably 7or 8 minutes before we were introduced to a waitress. Then I asked for water and hot tea, no water and barely warm tea. Then came the soup, cold. The dinner, 12 dollars for two dollars worth of food. The service was awful, food was cold. I knew when we went in on a Friday night at 7:30 and the place was almost empty, that should have been a clue. The place was dirty, and the cup for the warm tea, smelled like soap. I know its a little bit of a drive, but Fancy Sushi in Clermont, Awesome, same type of food but always hot, the soup is delicious, and the service is great. We figured we would go and try someplace different, Bamboo Bistro made it so we never try different again… Its not so much the complete waste of money, but the sad part is the hour I can’t get back, plus the bad taste in our mouths… Worst part is, were not picky……..
Had a great waiter but the kitchen totally screwed up our order. Never got our entree and left an hour later. Quite disappointed
