Katie Belle’s. Attended the recent do-wop dinner show. This was our first time at Katie Belles. Loved the ambiance and the venue is just right for great viewing from most seats. The show was great but food left a lot to be desired. Salad was just ok. As we were not given any choice of dinners we were served a plainly cooked, unseasoned chicken breast with a scant amount of some kind of pineapple sauce on top. The red potato side was good and green beans were a bit overcooked but that could have been due to the mass produced covered plates. We will definitely attend other shows there but will be keep our choices to a select few when dinner is included. We will also try Katie Belles again when the dance floor is open. Tried to find a menu online but this does not seem to be available yet. Why? I do not understand. (May 2013) We are from Long Island, NY (not Ocala, FL).
My husband and I love Katie Belle’s. It offers a wide variety of music styles day and night. We have never gotten a bad meal either downstairs or upstairs at The Cattle Baron. And it’s a great place to dance and people watch. Our whole family loves it.. young and old.
Customer service. Have tried it a couple of times. Highly touted. Just not very welcoming. At a hyped place like this, it’s important that the experience be special from the beginning. It’s not. The gent checking the IDs on a Saturday night pretends he’s a bouncer. Doesn’t fit The Villages friendly profile.
