Chez Jacqueline has been in Lake Mary for over 2 years. Jacqueline is amazing- from the freshest of the ingredients to the variety of choices- breads, pastries, crepes and quiches. I have introduced her to friends from Jacksonville to Tampa and all say the same thing- Tres Magnificat!! A touch of France in Lake Mary. Enjoy and thank you Jacqueline.
Authentic Fresh Pastries. I have been to France many times. This bakery comes the closest yet to a real, good, French pastry shop. Jacqueline, the owner and baker is a friendly, french women working in a cute store in a small shopping plaza. The quality and authenticity of the pastries and the coffee are truly indicative of their French origins. We tried the pear tart, the pain au chocolat (chocolate croissant), a normal croissant, a madeleine (a kind of a lemony, french cake-like cookie shaped like a shell) and a custard pie. It was all very good but the pear tart and the pain au chocolat were to die for! We could have been eating from a little bakery (patisserie) in the heart of Paris. The madeleine was a little bit disappointing as the taste reminded me of fruit loops cereal, but it was still moist and flavorful. Jacqueline’s bakery is a visually sophisticated blend of excellent flavors. We’ll be going back.
Tres bien!. This bakery is wonderful! I recently went and had a spinach/goat cheese quiche and a chocolate croissant. My friend had a chocolate croissant too. The owner was nice and gave me instructions for heating the quiche up. The prices were standard for bakery fair ( $1.50 – $4.50 depending on the item). The desserts look like little pieces of art! The quiche was excellent. The croissants were everything a fresh croissant should be: flaky, slightly chewy, melts in your mouth). They had the perfect amount of chocolate in them too. My friend and I loved them. The items there are all made without preservatives and they are free of trans fats. You can tell they are made with fresh ingredients by the taste, which is superb. I can’t wait to go back and try more things! The only thing that I wish was different was the opening time. I arrived around 8:35am hoping to pick up a croissant before work, but they don’t open until 9am on Tuesday – Friday (later on the weekend) so I had to wait until lunch to indulge my craving for a chocolate croissant; but it was worth the wait! I wish they aimed to appeal to the early morning crowd b/c they would probably dbl their revenue if they did, but c’est la vie.
French Bakery Comes to Lake Mary. Just discovered Chez Jacqueline and I’m glad I did. She has actually been open for about four months. Located in the strip shopping center across from Lake Mary Elementary School. It is a classic French bakery full of sweet & savory pasteries, baguette, and desserts. This first visit the wife and I both tried the chocolate croissants. Delicious! It is all you should expect: buttery, airy, flaky but with a real chewable texture to it; filled with just the right amount of bittersweet chocolate. Can’t wait to go back.
