Small portions, full of fillers.. I had dinner there recently for the first time and was not impressed. I ordered a total of 6 sushi rolls and they all fit on a plate of app. 8X10 with room to spare. The rice was dry so several sushi pieces were falling apart, they were also filled with mostly cucumber and avocado

Lost their touch. This used to be our favorite go-to place for takeout sushi. They seem to have lost their touch. The shrimp in the shrimp tempura roll was a little off. Even their top-notch, friendly service seems to have disappeared. Tonight they lost our order, kept us waiting for an additional 30 minutes while they made our order and didn’t offer an explanation or an apology. Neither the food nor the service warrants another visit.
Never again.. I’m not the sushi lover that gets sushi on a bi-weekly basis. But I do enjoy my fair share of sushi every once in awhile. I’ve acquainted myself with many local Sushi places, such as, Sushin, Bayridge, and the ever expensive Amura. Each place I have had great results. Samurai Sushi..however. Not only is there menu online totally lacking almost half of their menu items, but I spent a good 30 dollars on terrible food. The Calamari was bland with no lemon or sauce. The miso soup was dismal. My crunch roll was lacking in the crunch department and my Fire Dragon roll was slimy from the Avocado, not eel. To say the least, I was extremely dissapointed.
This place has a great happy hour from 5-7 with eight different rolls that only cost $3.50! you can’t beat that price.
Fabulous!. We tripped on this sushi restaurant after drinking at Wine Diva’s and Desserts a couple of doors down. Our expectations were low initially but they delivered wonderful fresh sushi, a decent house cab and fair prices. My favorite so far is the volcano roll, yum. We have made this our new ‘place’ since we discovered their happy hour deals Mon -Fri 5-7. You will not be disappointed.
They’ve Nailed It!. I’m from the west coast where the sushi game is fierce and the offerings are amazing. To find the likes of it here in central florida has been like settling for powdered milk to have with oreos. My wife and I tried many places before being turned on to Samurai and WOW have they done it right. Their sushi is fresh, innovative, and very flavorful. Their staff is knowledgeable and friendly and the dining room is designed very well. Their prices are also very reasonable which is rare in the sushi world. My wife and I typically spend $50 for dinner between the two of us and for that we get a variety of appetizers, sushi, a few rolls, soup, and a crispy cold kirin to kick it all back with. My kid brother who wont eat seafood always gets their chicken fried rice or teriyaki dishes and just devours it. We finally were encouraged to try his chicken fried rice and now we get one to go to have for lunch the next day. Yep, its that good! It surprised us too. I can’t say enough about it, but I truly don’t have to. Sushi lovers are always compelled to search out new spots to find that perfect place and if this review just gets you in the door, then I don’t need to say anything else. Enjoy!
