OUT with the old PRICK, in with the NEW!!!. I stayed away from this place for a while. The previous owner was the biggest jerk I have ever met. I heard about the new ownership change. OMG, what a sigh of relief. There isn’t much to offer sadly for lunch in Lake Wales. This place was awesome.Everything from customer service, to the food and ambiance was great. I got to have my wife and son here. I felt 100% comfortable. I didn’t break the bank. And the sandwiches were great. Meat piled high. Very good sourdough bread. I love this nifty place. I will definitely be becoming a regular.
Honesty. Update: The Arcade Coffee and Sanwich Shopp is under new ownership. I would like to update my previous review of this place. WOW-what a different place. Friendly people, fast service and gone is the bad attitude of the previous owner. The food was always good and still is. A nice relaxing place to have lunch now.
EXCELLENT!. I can understand the frustration from past visitors (prior to September 17, 2010). The Arcade Caf is under the new ownership of a young FANTASTIC couple from the Lake Wales area James and Christie who strive to do nothing short of the BEST! Please stop by say hello, have a bite and notice the change. Your gonna love it.
NEW OWNERS. Just want to make sure everyone knows this establishment is under new ownership as of 9/17/10. Please be sure and stop by to meet James & Christie. They are very excited to get started!!
Honesty. If you eat at this restaurant and have the least complaint about anything you will be told by the owner to leave and he doesn’t need your business. He may even throw in some bad words at you. Good food there but the attitude of owner and staff is very bad. You either do it their way or hit the road.
Rudeness abounds. If you like your meal served with a side order of confrontation and insults, this is the best place around. Don’t go, however, if you are a woman, a person of color, or have any sort of noticeable disability, or you may very well become the object of blatant ridicule, to the amusement of the small group of regulars who seem to thrive on this.
Squeaky. The owners are obsessed with cleanliness, almost to the point of OCD. Great lunch choices at reasonable prices. Some loss in imagination when it comes to presentation but quantity and quality far outweigh any shortfalls. Highly recommended with outside dining atmosphere.
