I took my out of town family there for our annual Thanksgiving lunch and discovered one the best fish restaurants in Florida. Everything was delicious, cooked just right and the service was great. We were a large group and they gave us a table in an alcove which they had prepared in advance. If you go there I suggest that you call ahead because we arrived 15 minutes after opening on a Tuesday and they were already full. The server did an excellent job and never gave us the impression she was in a hurry to get us out. As we were leaving the Owner approached me and thanked us for coming, Now that is good service. I observed the chef preparing to filet the grouper and they looked like they had been swimming in the Gulf the previous day. I KNOW my fish also!!
We enjoyed the fried oysters and mussels. Both were above average and priced well. However, skip the fried spinach and the seafood chowder which had sausage but no seafood. Service was exceptionally slow and multiple mistakes made on our order. With a little tweaking this could be a great restaurant.

The Pickle. The best part of the grouper basket was tue pickle. The balckened grouper sandwich was good. Tje burgers were good. The fish and chips was good. Make sure to ask for no sugar on the sweet potato fries..

Best food on the whole vacation. We were in Florida for 10 days and were not having any good luck with restaurants, either the food wasn’t very good or the service was horrible. One restaurant we waited over 90 minutes just to get our appetizers, then only to get the wrong food that was ordered, plus the food was bland and not good. (New Orleans style restaurant). It wasn’t until our friends took us to Crazy Fish that we got great service from Nikki and the food was wonderful. We had the shrimp basket, oyster basket, fish for the kids, hush puppies and the 2 crab cakes dinner, the special was the full red snapper (very very good), even the key lime pie was tasty. We would suggest a different recipe for the gumbo. We are from New Orleans, and it is not that type of gumbo, not bad, but more of a soup. Plus never heard of gumbo having tomatoes in it. Real gumbo doesn’t. Another suggestions would be to put mixed platters on the menu. Over all, I give the place a solid 10/10. People were super friendly, Nikki our server was fantastic, we enjoyed the atmosphere, easy access to get to. I would suggest to get there early because it does fill up and get busy….so glad we ended our vacation with Crazy Fish….
First visit July 2014. Husband & I ordered shrimp basket & peel & eat shrimp. So delicious! Fresh! Almost as good as Key West pinks. Butterflied and perfectly coated & fried. We appreciated the great, friendly service and the owner checking in with her customers to be sure all was well. We will definitely be regulars!
