Top Notch!. Paradiso never fails to satisfy! I enjoy their lunches because the selections are light, yet satisfying. With a variety of ceviches paired perfectly with their selection of wines by the glass, lunch is a relaxing escape on a hot Florida afternoon.Dinners at Paradiso are an exquisite experience. Everything from the wine glasses to the decanters is top quality. The dishes are always beautifully plated and served in perfect portion sizes. Of course there is a great selection of grappas to choose from to finish off the evening.I highly recommend this gem for those who love quality food and fine wine.
Incredible Seafood!. Paradiso has many incredibly fresh and expertly prepared seafood dishes. I love the Branzino Crudo, the grilled Polipo (octapus), and the Salmon Tartare. They often carry west coast oysters, which is perfect for me, as I prefer the kumomotos and other varities of the Pacific Northwest. The Branzino baked in sea salt is perfection. Of course, I always enjoy a glass of wine from the extensive list, which includes hundreds of Italian labels. Did I mention the dessert?? The table-side gelato is a foodie’s dream. My absolute favorite is the Pear Ricotta cake with layers of hazelnut crust.
DISASTROUS……………… Having booked from Canada, mentioning this was a special occasion for my wife and I, we were placed at the back of the restaurant in what appears to be artificial decor away from the main area. The service was only adequate but the food was poor. I’ve had better Italian food in 1970’s Hamilton. The squid in black ink pasta looked awful and tasted the same – no one asked why my wife could not eat it and did not suggest an aletrnative. I questioned the manager about all this and eventually agreed ungraciously to a refund on the dish but was insistent his restaurant was the best.
Paradiso would do OK in NYC. Outstanding food at high prices. We go when we’re ready to splurge. Real Italian waiters add something magical, and the chef is a master. I liked it best when it was new and serving great versions of modest ingredients, like the classic sausage and broccoli rabe. Now, the ingredients are fancier, but the food is still terrific. Glad to know there’s a sunset special! We can go more often.
Very good, but…. $14.95 for a mediocre dessert? get real. I get a much better dessert at the local French bakery for 5.00.
Exceptional experience. Authentic fine Italian cuisine. The owner Angelo is also a Chef which reflects into the quality of his food. Everything is made to perfection and the flavors are out of the world, true dining experience!!! The fish is always fresh, pasta and sauces are home made. Can’t forget to mention their Pastry Chef whose desserts are fantastic. Wine list is amazing, staff is very professional, .. I can go on and on.. Highly recommended !!
Found Paradiso by accident walking the downtown area. Great find! Fine service by attentive staff. Had 3 course sunset dinner. Homemade ravioli, veal and salmon were all well prepared with just the right amount of sauces. Will return w/o a doubt.
