Could be better. First of all I have been here a few times. I can eat it but it is not my favorite place. I would not pick it at all but I will go with others and not complain. The sauce seems very cheap. The tables are so cheap I feel like I am eating in a third world country. The owner seems nice. I would rather eat at the Italian place right down the road called Champino’s. My other favorite in Lakeland would have to be the downtown and North side Palace Pizza.
Not very friendly.. Went over to get some food for take out. asked about meatballs asked for a sample. He was rude and said no samples. My plan was to buy enough food for 8 people. They lost a good size sale and a future customer.
The girlfriend and I thought we’d try this place and help out a local business. While nothing here was spectacular the menu seemed quite extensive. Maybe too extensive. It took us 15 minutes or so to decide. We settled on a calzone and spaghetti. The calzone was well prepared, however the peppers were not fresh. Instead they were pickled peppers from a jar. Finally, in Italian cuisine, the red sauce is everything. Ciao Bella’s sauce literally tasted like a can of Campbell’s Tomato. The Olive Garden is more authentic than this place.
I dine in at Ciao Bella at least once or twice a week. The food is absolutely delicious, the servers are very attentive. Its is family owned and operated, the owner is a very wonderful lady that also makes some of the most fantastic homemade desserts ever.
It’s okay – Could be a lot better.. Food is alright, but the seating is poor and its like being in a cheaper establishment. Chairs are hard.I don’t like dining in at this place at all.
