GREAT MEALS. I have ate ALL OVER THE WORLD.Fat Jacks is the best place in central florida to eat.You get fresh cooked food at a fast food price..My family goes there and I go 2 or more times a week.Anyone who complains has an intrest in a competitors establishment.
Handicap accessibility. Don’t get me wrong…best place in town to get my favoritesandwich…hot pastrami on rye….but when I have to usethe restroom…it sucks….the bathroom doors are only like2 ft.wide and really way too small for my wheelchair to get in through and also tables are too close to each other to try and get to my table which is usually in the back
Eh.. I think the nostalgia of it is what keeps the locals going. It’s dirty, greasy, and the staff is not real friendly. I did work in a Jewish deli for many years before moving to Lakeland, therefore I may have higher expectations than they can meet.
Tongue Sandwich. Growing up in Lakeland in the late 60’s they had fantastic food. I remember the first sandwich I ever ordered was a tongue sandwich. Never found another one as good. When I visit Lakeland, I make a special trip there.
Fat jacks deli and pub. I have lived in lakeland all my life and fat jack’s has been a lakeland institution for most of that time. for good casual dining much like the diners of the north, nothing in this area is better. breakfast, lunch, or dinner, they are all excellent. the only drawback is their popularity. saturday and sunday mornings you just may have a wait. even so they move it along so even 50 or more in line seldom causes more than a 45 minute wait.
An army of servers will keep your coffee full and the jacks special is is cheap and I cant even finish my plate. Seating is limited but well worth waiting a few minutes for a seat
Great food, great prices, excellent service with a smile. Teamwork shined and very clean dining and kitchen areas.
