The only good thing was the decor…… Service is terrible. Some of the worst I have had……apps were decent. Nothing about the entree was good, mediocre at best and that would be a reach. You want amazing food, go to Bay Street bistro a couple blocks from here or Harry’s seafood. Frescos sucked for lunch and dinner. Never going back.
Done with Fresco’s. I’ve eaten here four times over the past year and have not had a good dining experience yet. The food is mediocre and customer service is sub par to say the least, unless sitting at the bar. The servers I’ve had to date are less than enthusiastic. I’ve been given the wrong orders, had orders lost, or worse, been totally ignored. I should have learned from my past experiences but I decided to try one last time for Sunday brunch at 1:30. Mistake. We were promptly seated which was the last good event of the day. The restaurant was about quarter full but seemed to be in chaos. Our server never gave us a bottle of water, something every other table had. After taking our order our server never checked back with us. (I had decided I wanted a mimosa but our server decided otherwise. Your loss Fresco’s, I would have probably drank four) It took 20 minutes to receive our food. Mine was shrimp w/grits. The shrimp were good but light on sauce, grits were lumpy, and topped with the least cheese possible without being non existent. The eggs I ordered over medium were runny and cold complimented with cold toast and no butter. And to end our day we were subjected to another long wait until our server blessed us with her presence, which is why she received no gratuity. I feel I’ve given Fresco’s the opportunity on more than one occasion but they have never stepped up. Adios.
Skip It!. We’ve eaten here several times and fell in love with the homemade chicken noodle soup. However, the las two visits SUCKED! Food looked like it was tossed on the ugly tan hard plastic plates and service was not good. I’m not sure where the cook who made the delicious food went to….but he needs to come back! Disappointed ;((
Service was slow, but great deals on good wine. The fig, goat cheese, and arugula pizza was always a favorite, but recent changes made it lacking.
Rude employees and owners. Been to Fresco’s 2 times. On the first occasion we were never greeted or seated. We left. Second time there were about 9 of us, the place was half empty. We were never greeted so we seated our selves. The wait staff avoided us. Finally we got someone’s attention. She brought us waters and never returned. We finally left..so we couldn’t tell you if the food was good or bad…they really need to work on their customer service!! 2 thumbs down. I don’t know if Trent Rowe still is the food critic for the local paper? He should really make an appearance.
Fresco’s has a nice atmosphere and location. I ordered a burger at medium temperature and it came well done. It was so dry I couldn’t finish it, and that’s saying a lot for my appetite. I love local restaurants so I hope they succeed, but I’m afraid to go back after my last meal.
Like it. I’ve been there for lunch several times. We’ve always enjoyed it and the sandwiches have always been fresh and good.
