Yuck!!. The worst BBQ I have ever had! Ordered the BBQ pork sandwich was full of watery bbq meat, cartilage and even bones.I asked for NO mustard coleslaw on it and it was on it. The bun was completely soggy. Needless, to say i wont be back.
Ate lunch at this place today and felt right at home. If you are a southerner, this is your hometown restaurant. Great BBQ pork, pie, sweet tea, and service. I will eat here every time I pass through Lakeland! It’s a treat.
Love the BBQ sauce! I had chopped pork & Mac & cheese. The pork had a good crust on it. The Mac & cheese is nice & creamy. I love that it is an old, authentic, family run place. Go!
It’s a Pit for sure! Do yourself a favor and pass on this one. Server was nice.
The food is great, u dont get appetizers because it’s free. Family owned, family’s live in Lakeland forever. Real Christian people.
Good food and interesting decor. The benches are a bit uncomfortable, but they give you all the real pickle slices you can eat, and a real 45 jukebox that still works. This is definitely not a chain restaurant, and has a real feel to it. The BBQ is excellent. Good meat with their own homemade sauce. Recommend: mustard slaw as a topping and hush puppies!
