This place is a Lakeland staple and apart of America’s dinner culture. The kind of place where regulars have a hot cup of coffee waiting for them every morning and the lady from the church I grew up in had been baking delicious pies here for over 60 year (True story, Ms. Jeannette)! You can’t go wrong with the chicken and waffle and the patty melt is a must if you’re dropping in for lunch!
I had heard good things about this place so my dad and I tried it with good expectations. I ordered a cod sandwich and it was raw and cold in the middle. They almost didnt take it off the bill. Not to mention every person in there besides my dad and I was atleast 50 years old. Just felt out if place being that i’m 18. Lets just say I would rather drive off a clif than eat at reececlif again..
I would like to repky to the complaint about the burger. I’m not sure what happen to the burger as I never actually saw the burger described. We take much pride in all of our food, service and guest that dine with us. With all thecraves I receivevdailyvabout iur foods…including the burger, I wish I could have seen the issue so I could address it. I amvthe owber of the new kocation and 99 percent of the time I am on the floor checking on my guest. I apoligize for your experience. To all of you out there, please inform me anytime you feel your food is not adequate…..we will correct. I appreciate any feedback from our guest as I want it to be right. I did get with my prep staff on the burger to ensure that all burgers are weughed out accurately wgen prepping…..we do hand patty all of our burgers andvthe intent of going backto the smaller weight is to get a more tasty and balanced burger. If you find this not to bevthe case….let ne know. Thank you..Dwayne
You would have to be crazy not to love this place….unless you hate home made food! As good as the food is the waitstaff, ultra friendly and they know how to direct you. Not a huge menu, but I never understood how you can go anywhere and have 100 things on their menu and be good at anyone one! Small menu equals great food. Now let’s talk about pie’s…. An 80 year old lady had been backing them for almost 60 years…..damn they are good. Loved the sweet potatoe pie with marange top. My only negative is that the bathrooms could use to be remodeled!
I always love it here! It’s also great to know my grandfather ate at the same restaurant when he was young!
Get the club. They do a club sandwich right. Real turkey on your choice of bread with chips. Ignore the chips and share an order of the fantastic onion rings. One small order for less than $3.00 is plenty for two people. The lightly battered rings are huge and delicious!
