Scallops Rockefeller is amazing!. I have a hard time not ordering the Scallops Rockefeller it is so delicious – the scallops are so fresh! The lobster ravioloi is a favorite of mine, as well as the Pasta Fagiole and the Italian Wedding Soup – I love Alfano’s… authentic Italian fine dining.
A wonderful way to spend an evening.. My husband made reservations at Alfanos and took me there for my birthday last night. We had read the reviews and decided to give it a try. I was a little skeptical when we pulled up next to a group of folks who were walking in wearing shorts and polos (we were pretty dressed up) but relaxed as soon as we got through the door. We were greeted as though they had been waiting for us all night, shown into the dining room and given our choice of tables. We chose a small, intimate booth and for the next couple of hours, enjoyed ourselves immensely. Our waiter was polite, friendly and attentive without being intrusive and the food was simply amazing! We started with scallops Rockefeller, done on the half shell and, honestly, I could have had just that and left happy! For dinner, my husband had a thick, well trimmed, veal chop done with a Gorgonzola butter that was ridiculously tasty and beautifully presented. I had sea bass done in parchment, which they cut open at the table releasing the gorgeous aroma and making my mouth water. From the homemade bread to the cappuccino, it was by far the best Italian food weve had since coming to the area 20 years ago. On our way out, we decided to look around a bit and when they noticed us peeking into rooms, they happily gave us the grand tour. From beginning to end it was a wonderful experience and we will undoubtedly return again and again!
Fantastic Veal, Elegant Atmosphere. We discovered Alfano’s about 10 years on our annual vacation to the Tampa area and with one exception, have been back every year. We like to try new restaurants and for us to go back to the same restaurant year after year says something about the qualtiy of the food and service.They have a wide selection of veal dishes and each is cooked to perfection The soups are great and if you opt for the Caesar Salad, it is prepared to perfection at your table the way it should be.Service is great and while the decor is a little dark, the atmosphere is great.A little out of the way but well worth the hunt to find this jewel.

This is a classical, authentic Italian restaurant. The service is very professional. I love the food, especially the tableside Caesar salad. The private dining room is fun too if you have a small group. Great wine selection and desserts too. The decor is a little dated, but the food and service are top notch!
What a restaurant should be. The best overall restaurant in the area. Food, service, atmosphere. The owners are hands on and it shows. This place is first class.
