Too pricey, and I’ve seen better quality.. Unfortunately, my experience did not match the enthusiasm of the posted reviews I had read for Frida’s Cafe & Bakery.I felt their pastries were on the pricey side and although my pastries looked pretty, I was slightly disappointed in the overall quality. My pastry had chocolate icing; either the pastry had been sitting in the display too long and the icing had become dehydrated, or the quality of the chocolate was sub-par. Either way, the pastry was unsatisfactory; I did not finish eating it.I also ordered a blended Ice Mocha. The temperature outside was above 80-degrees, and yet my mocha DID NOT MELT!!! … that made me wonder whether they had added some sort of emulsifier to the mocha… and if so, then WHAT exactly did they add? The texture of the drink was also strange.I ended up throwing it away.I love going to bakeries to look at their beautiful pastry displays as well as to enjoy their pastries,however, I won’t be returning to Frida’s.
Absolutely, Positively, 100% for sure THE BEST DONUTS in town.. I bring in a dozen donuts to work on the occasional Thursday and can tell you hands down, no questions asked – the donuts from Frida’s are absolutely the best – they go so fast that even the most ardent vegetarian, skinny, person who won’t eat anything other than celery sticks and rice has started eating them. Have tried from other places and they might as well be rocks compared to Frida’s. Also – started eating breakfast (try the sausage egg and cheese Panini) there with my 23 yr old daughter and we love it – coffee is great, food is excellent (served with pride and a small fruit pastry just because…), and the service is outstanding. …and did I mention they have 3 kinds of croiss-nuts (crossant-donuts)?!
Ordered approx 6 different pastries and sampled each. Dry and not so spectacular. Publix pastries surpass.
Good food but this place is weird. They have really good potato salad but they won’t let you buy it. Not a scoop. Not as a side. Not at any price. This is perhaps one of the most odd things I have come across at a restaurant. I even offered to pay any price for the potato salad. No potato salad for me. Feels like the soup nazi from sinfeld. Crazy. Clearly the owner is nuts,
Love it here. Everything here is amazing! From the donuts to pastries, everything is homemade, fresh, and delicious. I highly recommend the donuts especially. All the staff are very helpful and the place is always clean.
Love it. Frida’s is a wonderful treat in Largo. Everything I have tried there has been great from breakfast to custom ordered cakes. Great Bakery, wonderful food, friendly staff. Parking can be difficult but, it is worth it.
Great find! We tried soup/salad & panini’s. All were great. We also picked up several different desserts to take home. We will be back!
