I just moved to the area and I have been to louies 4 times in the past month and everytime I go im greated by a friendly face and a smile 🙂 Ive tried a few different lunch and dinners and let me just say hats off to the cooks! This is a great place to go to have fun, enjoy live music 3 nights a week and make new friends. All of the regular patrons were very nice and inviting and i felt at home in no time 🙂
If you go there keep track of how many drinks you have. The bar staff (who is family) can’t count. You will be charged for drink for her (bartender) and you. Don’t be in any hurry to do anything all day. Cuz you will wait and wait and wait. For everything drinks ,food ,staff. Liked the entertainment tho. there also seems to be alot of drunkin under age kids running around. Wow !!!!!!

Today 4/22/12, Sunday afternoon me and my wife went there to have one drink while we were doing laundry next door. We had ONE margaritta and ONE glass of zinfandale wine and it came to $13.91 for the two. The margaritta was a regular glass and the wine as well. THIS IS A RIP-OFF. I cannot believe it cost so much. The place only had about 5 people in there and it was on a sunday, what a RIP OFF !. I will NEVER GO THERE AGAIN !!. This place is pitiful and anyone who goes there is just a sucker. Yes I was a sucker for not asking how much they charge. What a RIP OFF !!
What a disaster at catering.. If I could give negative stars I would. Louie’s could care less about timely service as a catering company. Yes, they are a bar & grill, but apparently they cater too. We just spent $100 on tickets for a Greek civic event, paid for a sitter, and waited 2 1/2 hours for the meal to arrive when it was scheduled to be served @ 7pm. Even if the plates had started showing up at 8 people would be happy. But since it was 2+ hours late, delivered by teens who looked lost and confused, serving half tables & leaving families & children staring at 4 plates between 10 people. Seriously, Louie’s catering should apologize to the event coordinators financially and publicly. And I wouldn’t mind the $200 I’m out tonight for jack. I could have gone to Bern’s with my husband instead. I have also left a message for the owner at both the restaurant & his cell. Let’s see what he does to try to repair the negative stigma his catering has attached to this annual event that has been a huge success in the past but is now marred by the terrible delivery, bland looking slabs of beef & mushy asparagus. Caterers, you only get 1 shot, don’t screw it up! And train your servers. You can not serve half a table then go serve another table. Manners dictate you wait until all are served, by the time an entire table was served, the food was cold.
No service. I went to Louie’s tonight to check it out. Only about 10 people in the whole place. The server by the door was watching TV. I asked if I could eat on the patio. He said yes, and returned to watching TV. I went and sat on the patio. Another server was singing Karaoke with a patron. No one came to ask if I wanted anything. No menu, no drink, no food. After more than 10 minutes, I got up and left. Sadly, I do not think anyone who worked there even noticed.
Great food. I’m not a drinker and I know this is a sports bar…….Loui is a really good cook and he puts LOVE into his food. I eat at Loui’s once every other week. I’ve never had a bad meal yet. Service can be slow at times but finding good staff is near impossible in this part of the country. Can’t comment about the bar, bar staff or drinks cause I’m not a drinking kind of person, it puts me to sleep.
Drinks overpriced – terrible service – food good. Six $ for a measured Captain, $4.25 or less everywhere else on the street. Very bad service, 80 minutes to get an appetizer because the staff was disorganized. The food is good when it does finally arrive but take cash so you don’t wait half an hour to get your tab paid. Very nice patio bar but it’s about 40 feet from Ulmerton Rd.
