After a long work deployment abroad overseas and finally returning home to South Florida after 11 months away I returned to one of my favorite yard style Restaurants for grocery and take away food. The place has changed and looks like owners also, less inventory/stock. I bought a 32 oz bottle of Sundial Manback Tonic no problem , but after purchasing a Ackee & Salt Fish andthen going outside to eat it in the car. To my surprise the fish was not cleaned properly, way to much large pieces of skin throughout my dish and far too much salt …. I eaten previous times De Jamaican Shop over the years and same dish many other Jamaican restaurants in the U.S. and Jamaica, never taste or seen that in my many years?I then returned the food to the owner of the shop, that said it takes too much time to clean de fish and no I can not exchange your food for a next food item. All that being said I just left the Ackee & Salt Fish on the counter and out the door. Not to return again……. I miss the Original Owners De Jamaican Shop.
