Spectacular Food & Feel Like I’m eating with extended family. When my family and I relocated to S. FL from the NE over 10 years we knew we would miss our local Korean Restaurant. A few years after being here a friend told us about Gabose but we were hesitant to even try. Eventually we did and our only regret was that we had waited so long to visit Gabose. The food is amazing! And the owners are such nice people. They make you feel right at home and now when we walk in the door they greet us like friends. My girls and wide love the bbg beef, pork, and chicken. I do as well but my favorite are the amazing Korean soups / pots. On a scale of 1 to 10 they are hands down a 10.
Consistent Excellence. Authentic Korean restaurant in Fort Lauderdale; who knew? This is a family owned business dedicated to quality with a warm friendly atmosphere. The staff is uniformly very good and very attentive. Fair warning, Saturday nights are very busy so if possible go early. The food is fresh, healthy and uniformly excellent. I recommend it highly. If you are looking for a unique dining experience in Broward County give it a try.
Food is ok. BBQ is super over priced.
Excellent experience. Hands down one of the best Korean restaurants I’ve visited. Make sure your order two portions so you can watch them cook it for you on the table. Gabose provides an amazing culinary experience. miamiculinarytours.com
Great food, friendly staff. After reading positive reviews decided to give Gabose a try tonight and very glad we did. We had a party of 3 and were seated almost instantly at 7pm. The place was busy so it may be that we just got lucky. We ordered the gamja jun to start. It was good but as a little too greasy- wish it was a little crisper. Two of us ordered salads and the ginger dressing was great. Miso soup also very good. For our main courses we sampled the Bulgogi, Daeji Tofujiga, and the Haemool Kalgugsco. All were fantastic. Portions seem huge, and all the sides were tasty too. It is easy to understand why daeji tofujiga is a comfort food- it was very, very good. Staff was friendly and efficient. The interior is typical strip mall restaurant vibe (though it is not technically in a strip mall) but with food so good who cares about the interior! We will almost certainly go back. Well worth the money. Prices seem reasonable given the amount of food you get.
Good Korean Food. I liked this place. The bolgagi and bon chon were great. This is a good example of Korean food if you are looking for some.
The best above the rest!. I had the pleasure of living in Korea for 2 year’s back in the 70’s at 9 yrs old when my father was stationed in Seoul. Ever since living there I have found that Korean cuisine is still my favorite food 40 year’s later. I know what real, authentic Korean food tastes like versus American Korean fusions. My husband and I used to wish we had an authentic Korean restaurant here in s. fl close by our house. Lauderhill is still a 45 min. drive from Palm Beach but we don’t mind! We’ve tried other Korean restaurants around Lauderhill (there are many) and none compared to the quality and taste of this one. If you’ve never tried Korean food before, your first meal must be the Bulgogi (soy based marinated thinly sliced rib-eye steak with scallions & onion). Most Korean dishes are served with a multitude of delicious side dishes. The side dishes sometimes change based on the season but most include kimchi, potato, fresh vegetables in spicy and/or soy dressings, thinly sliced pickled daikon radish (favorite), lettuce, bean sprouts, bean paste, and many more. I’ve had up to 15 sides at Gabose. You can have the chef prepare your meal for you, or you can request to be seated at one of the grills where you will actually cook your own marinated Bulgogi. Both way’s are delicious but the grill is fun for your first time trying Korean food (& for family). For $15.95 this meal is yours! Great prices here, nice atmosphere, and very friendly staff who are willing to meet your needs and answer questions. Please give Gabose a try and if it’s your first time trying this cuisine, keep an open mind because you will want to go back time and again! I love this place!
