They dont care about customers. Called in an order on 6/6/14 was for two blt’s with no mayo. got them home and were covered with mayo. called and spoke to person in charge and was told thatb they were used to making them with mayo and there was nothing he could do about it. well usually tis would not be a problem but since I have a severe egg allergy they went in the garbage since they refused to do anything. called and asked for Carrie the manager the next day and was told she was busy and would call me back. never heard back from her. called back sunday morning and Carrie told me that I spoke to owner Friday night and that was just to bad. will not return to this dump is not the first problems we have had. awhile back ordered some cheeseburgers extra well done and they still were pink inside where jockey slapped them across the grill went back to get replaced and they were the same way not good for a two year old. they have lost this customer and a lot more when I tell all my friends about the way they treat their customers!!!!!!!!!
Diner delight. As a member of a group of bikers, we come to Alva monthly for breakfast and I am very pleased. We wait a bit which is expected for a large group but it is worth the wait for perfecrly cooked eggs every time and friendly service which tends to be an issue at other restaurants. You can not beat the prices either!

Country Dining Experience. I have been eating at the diner for many years. It is a place that you can come and feel comfortable as if you are sitting in your own home. A place to meet new friends from all over the US. Prices are affordable too. Service is good. They hire only local folks, so that tends to helps us out to. Regarding how you pay, well if you are prepared for it – Alva Diner has always been a cash only place. Which is a good thing for many reasons. Since so many out of state folks stop there and eat – we don’t want to see any of our businesses suffer from bad business deals either.
Decent Diner Food. If your expecting fancy, forget it. Just good down home cooking. Been there several times and never had a bad meal.
