Our family of four stopped there at around 2pm on a Thursday. The exterior wasn’t much to look at. As you walk through the doors, you see the seafood market. Off to the left is the dining room. There was just another couple there with us in a room of about 15 tables. The smell of fresh seafood was very overpowering but what do you expect? After a few minutes you get used to it. One wall in the dining room had a big glass window into the processing room. There were no catches being worked on during that time. Greta, our waitress was very helpful and attentive. We opted out of the seafood buffet in the other room. At the time we were there, I saw Clam Chowder, Shrimp Gumbo, fried fish, scallops, shrimp, peel and eat shrimp, and seafood salad. We ordered fried shrimp, grilled scallops and clam chowder. Each entree comes with choice of onion rings, fries, or hush puppies and cole slaw. The clam chowder was great! I got 2 spoonfuls and the rest was devoured by the kids. Greta even brought us a sample of the gumbo which was so-so, not spicy at all. The shrimp were huge and very tasty. They do give a nice portion of food. My hush puppies were a bigger size but I thought could use more onion. The scallops were just pan fried in butter. Huge pieces. Overall it was a positive experience.

Half market/ half restaurant. If you love fresh seafood you will dig this place. Rustic to say the least, but you can watch your meal come off the boat. Literally!!!

All-you-can-eat Shrimp. We had visited the beach seafood market 2 years ago for their buffet, but they have discontinued it. They now offer an all you can eat fish, and an all you can eat shrimp lunch special. We all had the shrimp version. You can get peel-and-eat, fried, or grilled. The portion sizes on the initial plate are extremely generous, and they are just as plentiful on any reorders. The shrimp taste like they were caught just this morning, and despite the humble building and location, the shrimp were cooked spectacularly. The star of the show were the grilled shrimp with a light coating of oil and some spices. They were unbelievably good and everyone agreed that these were the best grilled shrimp we had ever tasted. If you like shrimp and aren’t hung up on a fancy setting, the shrimp at Beach Seafood Market are spectacular.

Best seafood we had in Fort Myers beach area. Huge portions, extremely reasonable prices. Purchase any seafood from the market and they will cook it for you for only $5. Atmosphere is fish factory chic.

Great seafood. We always make it a point to go to Beach Seafood market when we are in the Ft Myers area. The restaurant may not look like much, but the food is always fresh and tasty. The seafood buffet is very good. I can never decide which is better; the seafood gumbo or the New England clam chowder and so I always have both.

Try the shrimp or fish basket, grilled, with lemon pepper. Excellent! You can even watch them sort and pack shrimp as you eat.
