May 2018Blue Pointe Oyster Bar & Seafood, Ft. Myers, Fl., Here is my 2 cents on the food and chatter.I am a meat carnivore. … This is seafood…This has to be one of the best meal I have had in my recent history.$21 bucks during Restaurant Week Stuff salmon, lobster cake. and a water melon arugula salad…less not forget the rolls and butter with house made sweet tea.The rolls were hot, fluffy and tasty. The tea perfectly balance not overly sweet. The salmon were stuffed with delish magical things, along side a serving of garlic mash potato & french green beans with bacon. The biggest suprise was the arugula salad. I HATE ARUGULA…..This was a melon salad with a wonderfully intertwine dressing that made it perfect for me. No pepper or salt needed. Slightly sweet slightly salted…a wonderful mating. I could have ate more.More… Lobster cake….The only disappointment was the size ( 2 inch Lobster cake, See pic I measured it)The cake it self was excellent scrumptious, just one bite though. :-(The service and attention was beyond my expectations.Blu Pointe Oyster Bar, Bell Towers Mall, Ft. Myers,Fl., Here is my 2 cents on my meal and chatterI was there on a Monday. They have a special for 15 bucks all you can eat mussels. There are four different types of preparations. I loved the house brand and the curry milk. Delish.Blue cheese eehhh very messy and bacon not so good, overwhelmed the mussels.Plus you are given fresh hot bread. As much as you wish. So soak up the juices of mussels. A rarity today. The sweet tea was great and unique. Due to Irma, they were short on regular sugar and improvised with brown sugar. Excellent.Service was stellar staff. ….Thank you ,Winona. Will be back.
Bread and butter was great. Cesar salad was fair. The simply prepared pan seared Sea Bass was outstanding. Key Lime pie was very good too. I’ll be back.
Friendly staff. Appetizers were ok. Sushi was fine. But downhill from there. More than 30 minute wait for entrees and then they arrived cold. Won’t be going back.
Great meal and fantastic service. We ate dinner here while on vacation and found this to be our best meal of the trip. We had a sushi app and two entre. My salmon was perfect and my partner’s scallops were awesome. Our waiter was very good and attentive
I thought that the Blue Pointe Oyster Bar & Seafood Grill was so so. I don’t think that I would go back, I’d rather try a different restaurant. We got the Fried Calamari and Shrinp and Crab Tater Tots for appetizers. Both of them were fried, which we knew about, but the problem was that they were dripping in grease. I was also dissapointed that we only got 4 tater tots for $9. We ordered the Paella for 2 for dinner. It was actually very good except for the fact that instant rice was used instead of regular rice. You could taste the fake taste in the rice which ruined the dish for me. If regular 20 minute cooking rice would’ve been used, this dish would’ve been very good.
Walked in front door to smell of bleach and should have walked out immediately. To appease my wife we sat down anyway and the fiasco only got worse. Food was tasteless, drinks were watered down and overpriced, service was…well the server was nice but since we ordered off an ipad I felt like the tip should go to Steve Jobs’s memorial. Blue hair crowd seemed to like it, I did not…
My experience at blue pointe was amazing, we had a very young server named mike, he was young but knew everything and was very respectful, I ordered the miso seabass that he preferred and it was amazing. My wife ordered the black mahi which he also preferred. To sum It all up, go to blue pointe and ask for mike
