Here is my 2 cents on the food. I was not in the mood for bbq. I went for the day special. Meatloaf sandwich and a side of mac & cheese. Meat loaf at a bbq place. I was leery. But I am adventurous. It was good. The slices were thick and light. They were firm but fell easily when bitten into . The roll was soft. I found the sauce sweet and a bit tangy- spicy. Not hot but flavorable. The mac was cheesy and delish. I also ask and receive a sample of the brisket. (You must be a fool if you do not taste brisket at a place called Brisket Brothers. That is like going to a steakhouse and asking for fish or chicken .) The brisket was moist and tender…. excellentNow some chit chat. I found this place on a local tv show (Paradise). I was surprised it was so close to The Cape. Just over the bridge. So worth the trip. It is in a large mall towards the rear a bit hard to find. Just follow your nose. No TV no WIFI 6 tables 1 table outside. Very friendly owners.Oh yes I thought portions were pretty good. See my pics.I was told they make a good reuben. All of the ingredients are made on site. That’s another review.Anyway when in the mood give this place a try.March 2017Brisket Brothers BBQ and Smokehouse, College Parkway, FT. Myers,FL., Here is some chit chat and my 2 cents on the food.Alright for all you true carnivore of beef…who crave a true manly meal, 7 days a week, This is your heaven on earth. (if there was a heaven) Located in the back of a large mall. TEXAS STYLE BEEF BRISKET. After 2 days of eating fish bait and skimpy south of the border food, I remember these tasty items. My food. Texas Beef Brisket ( no wimpy shredded pig, though available) a nice portion of a sweet cole slaw plus a garlic pickle wedge… about 11 bucks. Beef brisket cooked low and slow then a nice portion, sliced thin and so very moist/ tender. House made shredded sweet in nature coleslaw. If you want chicken, sausage, meatloaf or other items, They can hook you up. They also have 2 sauces if needed.
The brisket was terrible. I’ve had brisket all over this country, so I know what good brisket should be. I’m still not sure that I was served actual brisket. It was more like badly done pit beef. Sliced extremely thin, tough, stringy and a complete lack of any smoke flavor (no decernable ring) or any seasoning at all. Just a too sweet (one note) mediocre sauce. The grain and texture of the meat did not resemble brisket. The cole slaw tasted fresh, but hardly any seasoning as well. It’s counter service with only three small tables and the staff was very friendly.
Too much sauce and the big guy is overbearing. The brisket would probably be great if it had less sauce. Judging from my experience with brisket this is something you can make at home like bbq beef. The big guy with the goatee is loud, obnoxious and sloppy in the way he dresses. Texas bbq is not this place, will not go here again. If not for the food then just because of the big guy.
Mr Chips. This was the worst brisket we ever had. Extremely fatty !! Caused both of us to become ill.
