The BEST Italian food south of NYC. You will not find Italian food that even comes close to the quality within 1000 miles of this place. If you don’t like this place, you’re probabaly the type of slob that thinks Olive Garden is good Italian food and Papa Johns serves real pizza. When you come here, you get authentic ITALIAN CUISINE for a great price and you get a ton of it. I have taken everyone I know from the NY/NJ area that comes to visit here and they all say the same thing. Buon Appetitto Cafe is SIMPLY THE BEST. Try a homemade espresso and canolli or one of their other homemade deserts after dinner and you will go home one happy person. Shrimp Ala Rosa, Veal Scalopini, Veal Saltomboco, Lasagna, PIZZA! etc. and be sure to get a side of pasta with Gabe’s famous Fra Diavlo Sauce, it will light your shirt on fire! Buon Appetito reminds you of home and grandma’s cooking. GO HERE!
I’m sorry but I didn’t like the food!. I’m sorry but I didn’t like the food neither did my wife. My chicken Parmesan had very little sauce and tasted bland. My spaghetti was over cooked and tasted like it’s been sitting in water for a while. The sauce on the spaghetti was very salty. My wife had linguini and white clam sauce and it had no flavor at all. The place was crowded but another couple leaving at the same time we were leaving were also complaining about the food. Our bill came to $55.00 with a half carafe of Chianti no desert. Also we asked for a side of sausage she said the only sausage they have tonight was spicy we ordered it at $4.00. One sausage not very spicy in fact also very little flavor. The owner was our server and never came to our table to check on us but was sitting at a table next to ours talking with the couple sitting there. We wont be back!!!
The food is always good when ever we eat there but heard the owner yelling at his employees and it was very unprofessional to say the least
Lucky in Fort Myers. Dinner for four at 5pm on a Friday night needed no reservation. 3 veal parmesans and one eggplant parmesan were divine. The veal you could cut with a fork. Can’t wait to try another dish at this very friendly restaurant.
Frustrated by lack of courtesy. My husband and I have been to Buon Appetito several times and had it on our list of favorites. Unfortunately, this past weekend we tried to go on Friday night, called ahead at 8:05 to see what time they closed and they told us 9:00. We and another couple drove 30 minutes across town to make it and give them plenty of time to cook our food. As we walked in the door, they asked if we were picking up an order to-go (knowing clearly we were not) and told us they had already cleaned their kitchen up and weren’t serving anymore. It was 8:35!!! And they were so unapologetic about it, they acted like it was a HUGE inconvenience that we wanted to eat their food. I used to manage a restaurant, so I completely understand people walking in the door last minute but 25 minutes before you close??? All that being said, their rude reaction and lack of detail when we called ahead has frustrated me and I have no plans of going back anytime soon. I am mostly posting this in hopes that they read it so they can understand restaurant decorum.
Heard they were really good, unfortunately every time I try to call and place an order I only get an answering machine. Wish I could get thru…guess I’ll call pizza hut. 🙁
Best soup!. I go there for lunch two or three times a week. Their soups are all fresh and homemade; it doesn’t matter which one you select, they’re all outstanding. The Meterranian salad is a keeper, too.Prices are very reasonable and the service is prompt.
