  Courtneys is a way above average restaurant worth a shot. Located before the Sanibel Causeway in the Publix shopping center, it raises strip mall food offerings a notch. Its a tad dated and the sauces can be a bit heavy but overall it is a pleasant dining experience.

  Courtney Continental Cuisine. This is restaurant has below average food at upscale prices.. At the waiters suggestion we ordered 2 of their signature dishes: Shrimp Wellington ($25) for me and Veal Oscar ($27) for my wife. The pastry in the shrimp wellington was heavy and soggy and not flaky. It contained 3 medium sized shrimp and a gooey mixture of crab and some shrimp pieces. It was not very good. My wife’s veal Oscar contained 3 pieces of veal. Unfortunately, 2 of the pieces were filled with gristle. We ordered the bananas foster for desert. A big scoop of vanilla ice cream, a few pieces of banana served in a heavy syrup. Not like any bananas foster we have had in good restaurants.The good reviews this restaurant gets must have been written by someone who hasn’t eaten there or if they have never ate in a decent restaurant

  Fine dining. Our first dining experience at courtneys was wonderful. the surroundings spotless, the food as good as it gets.the service good and the prices at sunset were very favorable. we surely will dine there again,
