I love Italian cuisine and am always on the lookout for a restaurant that serves up authentic food made from fresh ingredients. My first – and so far, only – experience here was not a good one. I ordered Chicken Parmesan, which was overcooked and sauced with a watery gravy that came out of a can. My wife’s Eggplant Parmesan was inedible. She took one bite, then left the rest of the gummy dish uneaten. What was served was a blob of unrecognizable goo. Soups (pasta fagioli and minestrone) were canned. Bread and accompanying dipping sauce were good. Service was OK, but felt as if we were interrupting the server and his buddies at the back of the restaurant. Other diners were eating pizza, which garners praise from other reviewers.
