We really enjoyed our meal here. I had the grouper special which was crab and spinach stuffed grouper topped with a cream sauce. It was cooked to perfection. Two other people in our party had the seafood platter and they said the scallops and shrimp were excellent. We had a great view of the sunset. Well definitely be back again.

October 2018 Olde Fish House Marina, Pine Island Rd., Matlacha, Fl., Here is my 2 cents on the food and chatter.Beside a eatery this is a fresh caught seafood market. My anything on the menu birthday meal.I got grilled shrimp, coleslaw, onion rings, and hush puppies.I loved the cocktail sauce. Spicy enough.Fresh grilled out of the water shrimp. a nice cole slaw and perfect hush puppies. But the onion rings were bad. Beside not enough, the coating was too hard.It also was lacking in flavor.Service was great…I had to tolerate the red tide smell , though a large school of 7-8 catfish was fun to watch. They like the rings. So to sit outside and fresh fish give them a try.October 2017Olde Fish House Marina, Pine island Rd., Matlacha, Fl., Here is my 2 cents on my meal and some chatter.I order some crab cakes and the seafood combo.Crab cakes. When I was presented with the cakes I thought they were burnt. But when I dig into them they were great. I forgot that as oil is used in cooking it turns dark. But still usable and has no problem as long as the chef knows what he is doing. Bravo! Now the combo. Fish, excellent shrimp, fried clams, hush-puppy and Cajun steak fries. It was a marvelous meal. But with a big problem. The cocktail sauce was REALLY old. I know, I have had old cocktail sauce in my own fridge. It was extremely thick. A nod to the server and situation fix.Ah yes the cole slaw, fresh ,crunchy not overly mayo, very good.Service up to Parr. Will be back for more.Olde Fish House Marina, Matlacha, Fl. A growling in my tummy and some chatter. FOOD… Oh my the food was great. I started with a housemade sweet tea. Just enough sugar. Then a cup of Manhattan Clam Chowder. Tomatoe based loaded with clams and potatoe. Seasoned properly no salt needed. Fried to perfection onion rings. With good old fashion in house cole slaw. Then never had before hogfish. Cooked creole blacken style. It could have been a bit more spicy but we are in florida. It was blacken on the outside and moist on the inside. Very flavorful. Service was excellent. This is located on the water. If you desire fish for later on there is a seafood place on premise. One of my best meals in recent history.
