Pizza 2000 is #1. Stayed at Fairfield Inn/Fort Myers, was an easy walk to get there. Was with a group of executives, who are now huge fans of this place. Excellent and authentic! Now my colleagues are hooked!
Very close to NJ pizza. The thin crust pizza is very good. You have a choice of tomato sauce in addition to toppings. The white pizza was very good as well. It is next door to Costco in a strip mall. Only drawback was it is served in a 14 inch pie no other size selections. Worth the $6 toll back to Sanibel.
Fresh ingredients. My family and I recently returned from a mediterainian cruise and a 4 day layover in Rome; thought I’d never be able to eat pizza again…then we were told about Pizza 2000, wow, fantastic! Fresh ingredients, thin crust, the way pizza’s suppose to be made. We’re seasonal travelers to Fort Myers from Canada, so this is a routine early stop each visit.
If you like New York Stlye pepperoni pizza. This is not your place (Stevie Tomatos or Ninos is your place). BUT Pizza 2000 has awesome gourmet pizza. The white artichoke is great!
