Don’t go if you have a party of more than 2. Their policy is to not seat groups. We were a group of ten and said we would separate and could sit at the table for 6 and another for 4. This was 5:15 on a Thursday and there was No One there. We were turned away and told they didn’t want our business and again they restated their policy of no groups.
Today, Wed Oct 5 2016, my wife and I ordered dinner on our 32 wedding anniversary. I ordered the Yellowfin Tuna and asked that it be seared on the outside and raw on the inside. Both the salad and the soup were good before the entre. When my dinner arrived, the tuna was overcooked and the interior was medium rare at best, so, I asked the server to take it back to be replaced by my original order. The server came back and told me that the chef had told her that the tuna was prepared correctly and that any further cooking of any other tuna steak would be the same. I was not going to have an order of tuna, which I have had many times before, at many other restaurants, not to my liking. The server then asked if they could replace the order with something else. I agreed to get the grilled vegetables with chicken. 20 minutes later my order arrived and the chicken was tough and dry, the tomato that had been grilled had not been cored and the spinach was tasteless. I asked to see the manager, and explained what had transpired. The manager explained to me that the chef had prepared 2 dinners for me and that he (the chef) prepared them correctly and that there would be no compensation. I did not ask for compensation, but, with that attitude, I can guarantee that my wife and I will never visit that restaurant ever again. I advise anyone else who wishes to visit this restaurant to think twice about going.
After having a good lunch we came back for dinner and week later. We had to wait 30 minutes at opening to be seated while numerous tables sat empty. We where told the kitchen ran the front of the house, so I was upset along with others waiting. The food was ok. The waitress was a shining light.
This restaurant is a wonderful breath of fresh air for downtown Leesburg. The contemporary decor is just fabulous. We were greated by the friendly staff and was seated immediately. We chose from the lunch menu and was pleasantly surprised by the varied menu with such original dishes to choose from. Our server, Lisa, was super friendly and helpful in describing the dishes and making recommendations. My husband had the recommended Corn Flake Crusted Grouper sandwich with homemade chips and I had the 1/2 lb. burger made from grain fed beef from the Seminole Indian reservation. She also recommended we try our iced teas with an orange instead of a lemon – – she said once we tried it with an orange, we would never be the same. She was right, it was delicious!! Both meals were fabulous! The chef came out to say hello and each server who walked by our table also greeted us. Great location with plenty of parking. If you don’t try this place, all your friends will be talking about you and will never let you sit at the cool lunch table again. Now, quit reading and GO!
Unbelievable. My mother and I had lunch today…I had the grouper sandwich, incredible, so moist and tender, and mom had the big mouth burger, she said it was the best burger that she’s had in years, cooked to perfection and the spices were spot on. For dessert we shared the white chocolate crunch bread pudding, to DIE for!!! The service was impeccable and the atmosphere comfortable. I will definitely be back to try more!! The chef is spot on perfection!!
