Chicken Pot Pie. Can I buy pot pies to go15 Nov, 2014Can I Buy Pot Pies to Go?. Chicken pot pie
Wolfy’s is the best around!. My husband and I love Wolfy’s. I like it even better now, since it has been rebuilt. I think the quality of the food is great, and the food tastes wonderful!!! We are there almost every day, usually for lunch, quite a bit for dinner, and sometimes for breakfast. I have a lot of favorite foods there. I love the Chicken Pot Pie, I usually get the grilled Tilapia, which is one of my favorites, and I have a couple of breakfast favorites too. Also, the waitresses are very pleasant, and do a great job, the cooks do a great job also.
Glad we found it -review #2. Last night we went for the Friday after 4 PM prime rib special. A big piece of prime rib, baked potato and salad. It was very tasty. The rib is served with a small dish of Au Jus and another small dish of horseradish sauce. The price was around $11.00 per person. Usually we get dessert after every meal but we were so full we had to by-pass eating the dessert there…I brought my strawberry shortcake home. We got there right at 4PM and got a seat right away. When we left at 5 there was a waiting line.02 May, 2013Glad we found it. Lived in The Villages 3 years and just recently stopped on a whim while riding by. Now we go back once a week for lunch. I’ve only gotten their open-faced hot roast beef sandwich with mashed potatoes and gravy because it’s just like my Mom used to make. My husband has had their burger and chicken and said both were very tasty. I like their warm blueberry pie with whipped cream. The place is clean and the staff is friendly. Nothing fancy, just good cooking. Oh, if you go for lunch I would recommend getting there by 11:30….otherwise you’ll be waiting in line.
Not what I’d hoped for. I moved to the area right when the original building burnt down. I had locals waxing poetic for years about this place and was therefore very excited to try it.I found the prices reasonable, the service fast and friendly but the meal I had tasted like it came from a can or a box. It was fresh, but the grits tasted instant and the hash I had was underwhelming. I was a little disappointed. I went back for a second time for dinner just to see if I had an off day, and I felt the same after. It’s always busy, so I might be missing something. But, I’m still happy they’re doing well. Any locally owned business that can successfully meet a community’s desires is a happy thing for me to see, regardless of if I like the food. 🙂
Nice Diner. One thing the USA has always had is diners. A family type place, usually roadside, where folks can go for breakfast lunch and dinner, with good food reasonably priced. Wolfy’s in Leesburg is no different. Being family owned is one of its gemstones. Bob Evans is right down the road and Wolfy’s does better and for less money. The service I got last time I was there was excelent despite it being very crowded. Go figure. A table of 5 got its food in less than 5 min. and it was great too. Friendly staff and a nice new build since it burned in 2010 leaves it with a fresh new atmosphere and a bit more room to sit. Ive missed them while they were gone…. Thanks Mr. Wolf for rebuilding a fine diner. 🙂
REBUILT AND REOPNED – Great Diner Food. This restaurant burned down in April of 2010. The owner, John Wolf, has been with this business for the past 43 years and has owned it for the past 28, and decided to rebuild the restaurant which recently reopened. Thank goodness!!! Not only did he rebuild, but he brought back almost all of the original staff. This is true diner food, nothing fancy, just good food. Breakfast is served all day, too. Our favorite food item is the steak sandwich for under $7.
Closed indefinitely. Wolfy’s was an excellent down-home style restaurant. Nothing fancy, catering mostly to locals. Very friendly, and good food at good prices.Unfortunately, they had a kitchen fire recently, and are still deciding whether to close or to rebuild. They do have another location in Ocala.Wolfy’s you’ll be missed in Leesburg. Best of luck to y’all.
