Great Sushi! The sushi was excellent. Tasted so fresh. The prices aren’t bad either. They offered a 3 sushi roll combo with either soup or salad for about $13. AND our waitress was extremely nice. I’ll be going back.
Great Service, Great Food. The service was very prompt and the we got a ton of delicious food for about $20. Nice atmosphere too
The sushi was great, I only have one issue. Who uses chicken broth in miso soup?! You completely destroy the subtlety of all the other ingredients. Miso should be made with a broth of kombu kelp and bonito flakes, also know as dashi, and any good Japanese restaurant would do that. Seriously. Premade chicken broth. That ruined the soup for me. Other than that the service was good and the sushi was tasty.
Worth the trip…. My best friend and I visit Miyako at least 2 to 3 times a month and we drive from Thomasville. The atmosphere is excellent and their sushi is outstanding. The wait staff has always been very friendly and attentive to our every need and then some. I feel the price is matched perfectly for the quality food and service.
45 min wait to get $70 worth of sushi is TOO long. Delicious, but small portions. No break on the bill, no addl appetizer while we starved. Not going back anytime soon.
Great Sushi, Great Service A++. My friend had purchased a groupon and wanted me to join her for dinner the other night. It was our first time there and trust me we’ll be back. We ordered a couple of their specialty rolls and some of their basic rolls. They tasted and looked amazing. The service there was great. We had a very nice and attentive server. I’ve tried almost all of the sushi places here in town. This is by far the best. I normally go to Sakura for sushi because it’s closer to where I live, but I will definitely drive out there just for great sushi. Remember to try the Kamikaze and Bannerman Roll.
I usually go out with my friends to get sushi but they always insist on the cheap sushi joints where you BOGO..that’s great when you’re on a budget but once you’ve lived in japan the food just doesn’t compare thats why I was ECSTATIC that Miyako had a groupon. I’ve heard of the place and never made my way over there but the sushi there is amazing. You can just tell the fish is fresh. Their presentation isnt over the top like some places in town I’ve been, but the food is devoured before you even notice. I will definitely be back
