Best food truck Tallahassee has to offer. MoBi is nothing short of amazing. The owner and chef, Viet, is a creative genius in the food truck kitchen. Their signature meal (pulled pork and mac n cheese tacos) are always a great call with the bbq pork cooked and slathered with sauce and the mac n cheese rich and a perfect complement in these amazing and unorthodox meal. Viet always has at least one or two other items as well, which is always a creation he came up with. Viet is of Korean decent, so you can expect such creation’s as Banh mi or something with delicious kimchi, you will never be disappointed with MoBi.
Caramel chocolate brownie. The only thing I got from a this truck was the caramel chocolate brownie. It was pretty tasty, but it was extremely mushy. I’d like to go back again to try some other stuff.
Oh yeah!. I sampled everything on the menu this past Food Truck Thursday, and though the venue was short two trucks (honestly, a little rain shouldn’t scare you off, guys!), I honestly thought that Mobi was the star of the show. The buffalo chicken Ban Mai was very good, the slaw was crisp and not over-sauced. The pork tacos with mac and cheese are wonderful. Owner/operator Viet was cool and the girl working the register? Hubba hubba.So, yeah… recommended.
Tried the pulled pork taco with the Mac and cheese on it a few weeks ago. While the concept is good execution could have been better. The pork itself lacked flavor, letting it rest in a nice broth after cooking would help. The Mac and cheese was rather generic as well. The best part was the sauce but they could have used more. Overall, I think with some more they could probably create something that was memorable. They have the uniqueness down they just need to execute it better.
Great Stuff. I had the MAc n Cheese balls and the fried tomatos a few weeks back. Everything was absolutely delicious.. These guys definitely know what they are doing. Check them out whenever you can.
Fabulous and Quirky. Tried these guys at the Food Truck Thursday Event (Thursdays by the Burger King on Tharpe and Monroe- 6:30-10) and they were *hands down* the best thing out there. The BBQ Pork tacos with chipotle mac n’ cheese *in the taco* were inspired. My boyfriend really loved the Asian beef tacos as well, but we both agreed that the pork were the best. Will definitely be keeping an eye out for these guys in the future.
