This place has potential. Having grown up by the Mexican border I have pretty high expectations when it comes to Mexican food. It was filled with Spanish speaking patrons, so I was hopeful. There is a nice covered patio, but everyone who was seated outside was smoking. The menu has quite a few gringo items like mozzarella sticks and French fries. They offer severaldrink specials including dollar jello shooters and $2 drafts and margaritas. The salsa was okay but the chips were from a bag. I ordered the enchilada combination dinner that included rice and beans. It would have been better had it been served piping hot as most Mexican places do. The carne asada tacos were authentic, but could use more seasoning.
Decided to go in today because I’ve always wanted to give thier food a try, and I was actually in town. I am so glad I did. The service was friendly and fast, and the food was excellent. I had the chicken tacos and they were delicious. I will definitely be back.
