Same great food as the Ormond Beach location but with much better service. Our server was attentive. The owner came out to make sure we were enjoying everything. Definitely my go to location going forward. And I just love the fontina pork chop!
NOT so Valentiney Dinner. Went with another couple for Valentines dinner around 8:30….2-14-15I’ll be brief…My wife’s steak was ordered well done…..so dry…she took 2 bites…left the restMy friend’s steak was ordered meduim rare…came sitting in a puddle of blood. My friend’s wife ordered the LARGER portion of Seabass…if it was the large portion….hate to see the small portion. We had so many waiters and waitresses serving us….we didn’t know who was who or who to ask for service. One waitress spilled my friend’s Coke all over the table by setting the glass on the joint between the 2 tables. OK…no big deal…but then almost did again! My frined caught the glass before it completely tipped over again!Antoher couple next to us was seated 5 minutes AFTER we were. The had bread and wine before we had our drinks…they were DONE eating and left…and we still had not recieved our food. The Key Lime pie seemed old…not creamy….we had to remind the waiter to bring bread TWICE……I guess thats about it. Needless to say….we won’t be going back. And It was busy..Valentines Day and all BUT…did the restaurant manager not know that it would be busy because IT WAS Valentine’s Day? …Not good….Diner [email protected]
Yummy!. Enjoyed the cold snap ceviche and lobster sliders during happy hour. Wish there was more fish in the ceviche. The lobster sliders were small but filled up. Our server, Lenix, was super attentive and friendly.
Gone downhill. Mediocre ingredients. Bonefish Grill is a shadow of its former self.
Good fish. This was a repeat visit – been there a couple times before, first time writing it up. On our second visit we discovered Bang Bang shrimp. If I were to be rating my all time favorites, this appetizer gets my vote. The secret to enjoying it is to get some of the salad greens on your fork with the shrimp. This is wonderful dish, with the sauce just spicy enough to let you know you’ve had something good. Yesterday I had the grilled grouper, while the rest of my party enjoyed the salmon. I’m just not a salmon fan, and they rarely order anything else. The grouper was beautifully flaky and firm with a good flavor. One criticism is that my plate wasn’t presented well at all – I chose the herbed jasmine rice and broccoli for the sides. It looked like they took a big spoon of rice, PLOP, a big spoon of broccoli, PLOP, then put the fish on the plate. The broccoli was a small florets, mostly upside down showing white and yellow instead of green and because of the small size they were overdone and not bright. The two salmon plates were presented much nicer with the daily vegetable (zucchini) and potatoes au gratin. We all enjoyed the fish (after all, we came for fish, not for the broccoli) and finished up with a creme brulee – as a dish (not this particular one), my all time favorite dessert. The wait was reasonable (~ 15 minutes, but we were on the early side of dinner) and the waitress kept good tabs on us during the meal. Definitely will go back when in the mood for a good piece of fish.
Bang Bang?. I was invited here by a couple of friends for Bang Bang Tuesday. I brought my 6-year-old foodie daughter. I bought the corn and crab chowder (amazing), bang bang shrimp (ehhhh), and apple martinis. I seems to be a very popular locale. Don’t expect to get in immediately. This is a middle-age bar scene that I wasn’t expecting. It also has excellent food. I was impressed. Would do it again and get some fresh-unbreaded fish.
First Time Was Great!. Went to Bonefish tonight for dinner with a friend. It was wonderful! We arrived at 6:30pm and there was a 30-minute wait. We put our names on the list and were seated just before 7:00pm. My friend arrived before me (right before 6:30pm) and was able to get a happy hour glass of wine for only $2.50. It was a nice size pour and an excellent deal.Of course we ordered the Bang Bang Shrimp. For $5.00 on Wednesdays, how could you not!? So good! We also took advantage of the $19.50 Prix Fixe Dinner for Two. What a great deal also! You select one starter (Wagyu Beef and Ginger Dumplings or Singapore Calamari). We chose the Calamari. You select one salad each (Bonefish House Salad or Bonefish Caesar Salad). We each chose the House. You select one entree each (Wood-Grilled Salmon, Fontina Chicken, or Sea Scallops and Shrimp). We each chose the Sea Scallops and Shrimp. Each entree was served with a fresh seasonal vegetable (carrots) plus your choice of one side item. I chose the Potatoes Au Gratin and my friend chose the Garlic Whipped Potatoes. Let’s just say everything was delicious, worth the price, and we left completely stuffed! Our server was a nice young gentleman. At times, his behavior was awkward, but he was pleasant and on top of things. Because of this positive experience, I would go back!Bonefish Grill is located in Longwood Village at the NE corner of State Road 434 West and Interstate 4.
