I will say… Always great! Hog snapper is light and a lot to eat. We live local and go here a couple times a month. Not much to look at, just good. Just like being in the keys.
Bustling, and good food. Had a grouper blackened sandwich and french onion soup. Everything tasted fresh and great! Would definitely recommend this place and next time, will be ordering the waffle fries and/or onion rings as they looked out of this world.
One of the best blackened grouper sandwiches around. The onion rings are outstanding, but go for a half order unless you are dining with a crowd. The grouper bites are another favorite, lightly battered and well seasoned.
While I was in St. Pete I ate here twice and loved it. Awesome service, the food was amazing. I highly recommend the grouper sandwich, onion rings, burger and waffle fries. Each item was amazing. Best sweet tea I have ever had
No longer family friendly. I have been a loyal fan for over 20 years & sent many friends as well as tourists here. However, after my experience today they will no longer receive my extended family nor my family’s business. Nor will I EVER send a tourist there. We arrived on a Sunday evening at 6 PM with our three and five-year-old they asked us to seat at a hightop table when the rest of the patio was wide open, only one other couple was outside. Our kids are too small so we asked the waitress if we could set up a regular table and she said that was fine but if they needed the table we would have to move during our meal. A 3 yr old can not sit at a high top table- just ridiculous & the waitress had no compassion. I told my husband we would just leave now and she had the nerve to say I was cranky. We have been there many times in the past with kids, the last time we went they were not very kid friendly and we noticed it- this time they made their stance clear. If you have kids- save yourself the bad service and go somewhere else!
Select Another Restaurant. We will not visit Dockside Dave’s again. The portion of grouper was very small. Previously the portion was large enough to be shared along with the waffle fries. So disappointed. The ice tea was extremely weak. A waste of money all around:(
Short and sweet – this is absolutely THE BEST blackened grouper sandwich around. Save yourself some time and just head for Dockside Dave’s and get the grouper sandwich blackened!!!! The waffle fries are also great!!!!
