Meh…. The food at Mediterranean gourmet is unassuming and at best adequate. Just 3 minutes away there is Mediterranean Deli which is much better and more flavorful.
Orlandoflavour. Go there for the food, not the service. I have been numerous times and the owner has yet to talk or thank me. He used to have a cashier who he yelled at in another language. Cashier didn’t last long. Now it’s a one man operation. Gyros are good and plentiful.
Reviews and 100% status are definitely deserved! Owner cooks everything himself and does a fantastic job of it. Boreeka, gyros and tabbouleh were all delicious. Doubt anyone would be disappointed.
I just got back home from my 6th visit to this great restaurant, and the meal was as good as the first time :). I have had great gyros in NY, Boston, Egypt, you name it. Their Gyro is tasty, but it the freshness of the rest of the meal that sets it apart from other places I’ve tried. The salads are always great, and I especially like the Greek salad. They also have savoury pastries. The one with spinach is great after it gets crispy on the girdle. Like most small strip mall restaurants, you often pass by it everyday without seeing it. The inside is always spotless, and the owner is always there to greet you with a smile. A combo is around $8 with a drink, and the portions are just right. Give it a shot, and I’m sure you’ll like it!
Excellent Gyros Orlando!!. Very Very good Gyros, Lots of meat great sauce just a hint of mint (nice touch). Clean place in an new strip mall. Nice staff great place if you work or live in the area try it, if you love gyros it is a must!
Genuine Mediterranen & Eastern European Cuisine. The Mediterranean Gourmet restaurant is a breath of fresh air for our community. The Lebanese/Bulgarian owner and chef Jusef Hanan is most friendly and the food is fresh and genuine. I had the spinach pastry pie sometimes referred to as Spanokopita with a Greek salad plus Hummus with Tabbouleh. My wife had the Lamb Gyro with Greek salad. The food was excellent and both of us were quite full for $14.00 including our drinks. The restaurant is located just west of David Maus Volkswagen on Lee Rd. West of I-4.
